  1. heard that they use lots of oil when not loaded? not sure maybe other E9 people can tell you the truth
  2. Tsss, in Convoy the Duck didn't care about IFTA. pedal to the metal and keep on rollin'
  3. only mega 'truckwash'... these dogs are just unstopable... always doing their task
  4. usually it's when you can 'turn' the belt 1/4 of a turn
  5. depend on the rate of the spring. the tickness of them and their lenght. better with your old set system because you're riding on less spring when unloaded. with the new one you can get the same strenght but when unloaded does your truck need to be that stiff??
  6. bring all these old retired B at a safe place and the Volvo and the junk yard
  7. I'm also dreaming about the Mack diploma... would be so nice at home
  8. drugs don't just take your money, it take a bit of your lifes and keep a bit of your brain. i'm so 'stupid' to put that much money on Mack and my 4x4 imagine if i have been taking drugs... I wouldn't have these toys to play with. now i have something left. I'm 20 and drugs sucks. i really like beers, but I'm not always drunk! I don't care about people who smoke a join at special occasion, but don't build your life around that scrap! so much things are too nice to don't appreciate it! if you really like it, well you can, but find somethings else that you like more so you can be sure to let that piece of ... out of your life.
  9. sometimes we simply don't care, just want more. 3 beers could be great, but i always want more! horsepower fever!
  10. humm, you're right... didn't read enough carrefully... when it comes to Mack I'm loosing my sense but does 4VH 237 exist? ever seen any of these
  11. loose lots of Hp, and do black smoke because your pump isn't set to be running without air/air, will let to much fuel for the air that you have.
  12. you can adjust it like you adjust your valve lash. don't know the spec but it's the same way you have to rotate the engine and everyting... (too long to explain..) but well adjusted jacob works great on Mack engines. Dynatard from Mack are great on 4VH engine. 2VH with dynatard help when bobtailing...
  13. air window are piece of shit in Quebec, always freezed during winter. i would definitly prefer electric setup
  14. no problem at 900, bigger turbo means more air to cool your engine during overlap of valve, but it mean more eat when you add bigger injector with it. keep an eye on your pyro, if it goes to high downshift or try with higher RPM! any way i think you're the only one to haul with this Mack...
  15. humm, just load your Mack and the E9 would do the job. Pete would stay behind ya... and would try to see something in that black mack smoke
  16. you may try http://www.idc-solutions.net/MackE-7DieselPerformance.html maybe thi kit can help you or http://www.nwtruck.com/ at NW I think they can make the set up you want...
  17. we wn a concrete business, own Mack for 50 years. we bought oshkosh in 1997 with 350 cummins and Allisson 4 speed automatic. it's awesome. no more clutch adjusment, 100 times better on the job sites, smooter on all the trucks (not all the driver's know everything on shifting...) no problem with them... I prefer to keep on shifting my Mack, but prefer to see driver with automatic...
  18. the one on the cruiseliner can also be seen on Mack fire truck. i think it's the C model
  19. put everything on your side before doning something. warm the engine, remove plug and put some fuel or whatever. let it work for a couple of days and after that try to turn the engine manually.
  20. degree are on the damper, some of them have fix 'marker' that indicate the degree and some of them have bolted marker...
  21. you probably know M.Harding from Quebec. He got one B-87 freshly restored. He got a B-81 2 axle and a B-8?? it's the big towing with the front driving axle. sure there's nothing for sale but maybe he know if another one exist...
  22. I must agree, but the Rawhide is getting in the right way. we must appriciate the effort made by Mack! (even if it comes late...) I'll keep on buying them, a Mack is always ready for the work, old or new it will do the job. if the new one don't impress me enough i'll buy an old one and remack it
  23. first of all just try to turn it manually by the flywheel or the crank (bolt on the damper) this way you're not gonna hurt your starter by trying things. after that you'll know if it's the engine, or starter/cable... does it makes senses
  24. OPretty nice Sup men! need more pics of it. I'm 20 and got a 79 Cruiseliner. work for my dad but his Mack keep me pretty busy so no time for mine... where are you located? is your 400 stock?
  25. if you take a look in my album you'll see that almost every Mack DMM have one. under the hood it's pretty much like on the pics so could be great to find a DMM for your project! I think they use it only with 2 valve engines.
