  1. U were right kendra the weight box was at the top. Sorry bout that. U were going so fast at the end i just figured it wasnt transfering. U do have a very good running R Model. Maybe this year ours will look close to running that good.. ~JOE
  2. The h5ca is a monster holset. I had to make an adapter plate for the exhaust manifold. It also has a 6" exhaust housing clamp. It will not fit in a 5 gallon bucket. Its twice the size of a stock E9 turbo.
  3. Dont take this the wrong way.. But if it makes noise turning right and going straight. Doesnt that mean u may want to check the left front wheel bearing? Cause when turning right all the weight transfers to the left of the truck. Thats just my .02 cents do what u want with it. Later ~Joe~ good luck
  4. What is the difference between the 4c turbo (holset i assume?) than the H5ca? I bought an H5ca for my e9 to use for truck pulling and cant even spin it. I made no boost what so ever first time out. Wow did i look like an idiot! I guess i need tons more fuel than i have to spin it. Out of curiousity what r the housing #'s on that 4c? I know Jerry at "Young and Sons" in Indianapolis can hook me up if I get him the right numbers. Was the stock turbo giving u guys problems? I know i'm using mine for a different purpose, but i am making 50 psi out of the stocker and the pyros not even getting hot all. My E9 is at 2:40 in the video. our 6 cyl is at 3:18. Later ~Joe~
  5. Kendra does a great job driving. I did notice the weight box never came up in the second video.
  6. Did some research on the E9 heads. the place i found is called Agkits.com Syracuse Crank and Machine 106 Luther Ave. Liverpool,NY 13088 1800-437-3609 or 315-475-9893 (8am to 5pmEst) No price was given, but its a start... Denny u must have looked at that Superliner in Fremont,Ind. Its one sharp truck, I tried 2 weeks ago to get a friend to look at it for him ane his da to buy. They bought a POS Kenmore (Kenworth) to run. Funny thing is it never hauled the first load and had to go to CAT for a new computer. LMAO Later ~Joey
  7. I was just wondering if any body would know how much boost the heads would take, before the head gasket blows out. Im putting on a big holset turbo and was just wondering how long it will last.lol Im hoping to get at least 80psi. Its and HC5A off a KT600 cummins. What so u think will it work? Later~Joe
  8. U can look in my gallery at the picture of the E9 brochure that contains the marine specs. My dad picked it up at Mack school years ago. Its pretty impressive it gives all the torque curves and everything. Later~Joe
  9. I know its been said already, but those drive shaft yokes must be in time or they work against each other. I've seen a lot of times its usually the problem..
  10. The 4 valves have an aluminum valve covers thats one easy way to tell.. Good lookin MH wish mine looked that good. If u guys need any of the intake boots or plumbing from the air cleaner to the intake its self let me know, I no longer need mine. I'm not really sure if all of them r the same though cause I have the E9. the plumbing might be different? Later~Joe
  11. I heard we sold our toll roads to Spain... Maybe its true I dont know if so thank our great govenors
  12. Cant be as bad as my old man.lol. I found a b model that is an extended cab that he had to have. Of course he bought it 6 years ago and didnt bring it home til last year, and the only reason it came home this early is cause the who was storing it sold his property. It was also moved 2 times prior to that before coming home.. So when mom said when did u buy that he said 6 years ago...
  13. Sometimes the trucks arent weighted properly in the right places. Most guys move there hitch a little one way or the other depending on which way its pulling
  14. Thats one nice lookin ride it sure makes me jealous. ~Joe
  15. First you take 4 inches of solid plate copy the oil pan and then cut out the big holes so the crank can swing through there. This is to hold the bottom of the block together. Macks are known for weak lower ends. I highly recomend this for high horsepower and high Rpm's. We use 4:17 with the power divider(which doesnt always stay locked)! Im gonna try welding the spider gears together. I think a 5 speed is best cause you dont have much gear selection anyway, if you start running those 12 and 18 speeds on those smaller gears(inside the trans.) they might start comin apart with alot of power. Air ride is excellnt for pullin. block the back axle and pump the front axle to give u weight transfer for traction. A custom crank would be big bucks, but most guys are destroking engines to get torque at high Rpm's... this is done by shaving pistons. as for the cam that would determine whats been done to the heads (cams are cheap). Back to the suspension if its air ride try turning around the front alxe (swaping brackets) so the air backs are on the front side. this should sperad the wheel base to about 56 or so inches . (this is my next trick to try i think it'll work great for traction) Have fun let me know what u come up with.~Joe
  16. Thats what i bought my 85 MH for. I need 5500 bucks for the fuel system, 4500 for the slipper clutch and a five sped tranny (already have the trans.). It wont compare to his truck but its definatly a start in my class. Almost forgot 10 grand for the heads, thats where most the power is made.lol.
  17. Francis Engineering is located at 14233 Painesville Warren Rd. Painesville,OH.44077 phone number is (440)254-4046. Dale is the man behind the KILLER Mack. He builds all his own stuff including the motor. He has also been helping the Buckeye Bulldog also from Painesville. If you dont about the KILLER mack you can see tons of videos on the you tube, there is a couple videos on my space under Francise Engineering. If you love Macks and trucks pulling as much as I do you cant get away from the computer. ~Joe
  18. The inline pump is almost a must have. You can get so much more fuel than the V pump. And depending on how much u want to hop one up, we were told by a well known engine builder that what ever your RPM's are andvance the timing to that point. Exp. 3,000 rpm advance it to 30 degrees this is an excellent place to start. Our 6 cyl. turns 3600 with stock heads and cam we now have our timing at 46 degrees advanced. There are cases when u advance the timing you also gain more Rpms. If you really want to go nuts give Dale Francise a call @Francise Engineering in my book hes the Mack God. ~Joe
  19. I'm almost positive that u are correct. The only other thing they changed was timing that i know of.
