Is the mike gain turned all the way up? Mike gain is how loud u are. Is it a cobra 29 ltd? It should have a built in swr meter if so. Did u put the antenna mount together right? The plastic piece goes on top the aluminum mount,( common mistake) if this is not right the radio will not function right at all. There is many things it can be.....

Would any body know the new way air suspension shock numbers. Mine are totally gone and I dont think the Mack dealer around hear is very reasonable on their price.

Well what I ment by this was. From present to about 5 yrs ago a base mack was Eaton rears or trans. So if u wanted Mack drive train it was an ordered option. Well now the Mack drive train is in on the basic trucks and u have have to request for any different drive train brands if u want. Now all they need to do is bring back the E9... LOL

Hey convoyduel I know the truck u are talking about, cause its the one I tried to by and it was in south St. Lois. The guy does own a lot of old heavy haul trucks there. Im telling u this truck was E-MACK-ULANT lol. The fuel pump was the only issue, and I was told last weekend someone in Arizona bought the truck as is and drove it home with the pump issues what a fool. The pump would not idle down after it was warmed up. The rack was sticking. That guy was a fool for driving it home like that. O well I hope he made it home.

well I heard from a very good source today that Mack is going to offer their own drive train again. So it can all be Mack again except the engine. I hope its all true.

Just letting everybody know the RFD channel is having semi pulls on Jan. 4th at 3:30 a.m.

I went out and bought me some WTI Fenders for the Mack today and the install should start tomorrow and then the painting begins.... This MH is gonna look so good.

10-4 on that. Ill be driving a maroon vulva that says Wishall on the side. I will probally be the only guys out there with a roger fart on the radio. LOL I gotta be different.

Hey Rob the pics are of the MH in my gallery. I need to find the drivers side front fender piece (by the step) and try to order all new cab rubbers for the old girl. I'm thinking dark blue frame with a baby blue cab and some wti fiberglass full fenders. What u guys think?

Well first of all I agree with most things said here. I'm 32 and have been in the operators union for 10 yrs. Ya the benefits are good, but I'm quitting cause of the old " I cant see it from my house" attitude is to much for me. Its hard to work with 8 people who dont care about the job and 2 of u do. It kinda gets old. But then again I blame it mostly on the great state of Illinois. U cant just keep milling off 2" off a road and laying back 2". All these roads have 50+ years old drainage that need fixed, and that is why all the roads go to crap in a year or less. Well I do have some retirement built up in the union, but dont know many that can survive on 30,000 for 3 yrs in a row and maybe 60,000 the next then back to 30,000. U never get caught up. Rich get richer and poor get poorer. But then again I think that attitude I see in most people is that computers replace people and there arent many jobs out there. I think people now days are just plain lazy cause I always find a NONUNION job driving in the winter and dont draw unemployment. I would rather work than sit at home and collect rocking chair money, thats just the way i was raised. With all that said I going to put my truck on the road and try to make my own living...

Well I went off and got a loan to fix up the old Mack and put her on the road. Yep thats right I going to be a selfemployed truck driver. Scariest move I think I will ever make, but worth it in the long run. So on the other note! I will post up some pics of the old girl getting painted up and ready for the road. Wish me luck...

I was just gonna use the the frame style exhaust mount brackets. From what I understand the style u are talking about, the stacks must bolt to the cab?
