  1. thanks Greendog.... sounds like it may have to do for a while and ill just have to get an 18 spd later.. LOL
  2. Ive been around tons of macks just not the 12 speed itself. I guess I should have stated it different. LOL
  3. Well Im looking to buy a truck and the one im looking at has a 12 speed. Would it have a .71 final ratio like a 9 spd or an 18 spd? I think I would much rather have an 18 spd over a 9 for sure and splitting of gears on the high side would sure beat the hell out of that. I do realize that the 12 splits on the high side too, I just have never been around them at all. Thanks in advance Joe
  4. what is the actual trans. #? Is it R 1-5 on one stick and dir. and overdeive on the left stick?
  5. Awesome job Doug. My dad has the same Model of truck and wants to do the same thing u have done. Ive got to tell ya it looks nicer than I could imagine...
  6. It might be the "Dogs" that hold the center plate? We had that once happen to us. Mostly under a load when taking off.

  8. LMAO "Rocket Mans" it takes lots of practice. Try tailgating backing up, to not get stuck in the mud. Thats where you get your gold star.
  9. This is my ride height adjustment. 1 1/4 all thread with a socket welded to the end for quick adjustment.
  10. I know the Walker Pulling Team bought an MH with a KT 450 in it. Used it for truck pulling then pulled the motor and put it in a Superliner then sold the truck before it was done. Its in New York somewhere.
  11. I understand what u all are saying and have very good points. But I have also had this experience. One other option is running a low pro tire. We tried this on our truck and it worked great. We lost 7 mph on top speed but it did pull a lot better. I do know u just cant change tires unless they are wore out too.. LOL Its just something to think about.
  12. Ya!! HK I'd say ur right on that huntch.. The rack is sticking. You can "Thank" the real nice biodiesel for most pump problems now a days. A friend had the same problem with is farm truck. Our local pump guy says this junk fuel nowadays keeps him in business.
  13. I was more curious about price i guess.. I had to make my own flange for the Holset H5ca turbo. But your right that stock manifold is like hitting a brick wall. I thought about trying to make my own but if the price is reasonable to me I'd just buy them. And if I remember right that H5ca doesn't have the diverter in the exhaust side either..
  14. So did u guys get them from Dale Francise? Im putting them on an MH. Is the turbo still located in the same spot, not that big a deal if not im just curious. How much are we talking for these things? Are u guys using them for truck pulling or on the road? Later ~Joe~
  15. Im not but sould like to buy some for my pulling truck... Where would a guy get some?
  16. Aluminum valve covers tell u that its a 4 valve head. I THINK 84 was the first year of the 4 valve heads. As for electronic fuel pump? I think it was about 93 or 94.
  17. Well i was hoping at least to get 3200 with stock components. They want about 10 grand for a set of Jr's heads. I can get a cam ground for about 900 bucks, when i know what grind I need. That pump and injectors is gonna cost me 5800 bucks. O well its just money and I cant take with me. This is all my competition. The red pete and the white international are brothers with hot CAT motors. And our 2 trucks are the white MH and the old tired yellow R Model.
  18. Well im gonna put a new fuel pump and injectors in this winter, and was wondering if 4000 rpm is unreasonable with stock heads and cam. Im gonna try to make my own headers cause the turbo im gonna run wont bolt up to the stock manifold. Theres a couple of CATS that need mauled around here and this may do the trick.
