Was an OEM AHI module installed? We haven't had good luck with aftermarket ones. Other than that, I'm not sure, don't want to be the parts cannon! Even though I AM the parts cannon lol.

Mack on the Job

It looks new enough to be a TE (Terrapro), but I could be wrong. -
Leaving Gerhart's Mack Days show 2025
The Heinz replied to 70mackMB's topic in Truck Shows and Events
This was a great event for pictures and videos of Superliners, that's for sure. I was happy to have heard my first E9 last week at the Greensboro, NC show. GSD had their fleet of Mack's to show off, I'll have to upload some of those pictures later. -
What does the AHI nozzle/7th injector look like? I had several times in the past where a truck would NOT regen or even give an error code/MIL, but swapping the AHI nozzle fixed it. They tend to get clogged pretty bad, to the point Volvo redesigned them to have a shield to slow the soot buildup down.

O7 Mack MP7 US04 compliant replacement
The Heinz replied to No1eaglefan's topic in Modern Mack Truck General Discussion
Well, that IS against the law, and obviously I can't condone that, but even if it wasn't, I don't know if this parts guy could support tuning a modern Volvo engine. The tunes out there just don't seem to work very well, or last very long. It's like opening a different can of worms. I know a dealership is the last place you want to go, but Mack has both EPA04 3/4 reman options in stock, should you want to go that route. -
Superliner RW700 Steering axle
The Heinz replied to 1961H67's topic in Antique and Classic Mack Trucks General Discussion
I like the look too, reminds me of how I like my pickup wheels and tires: more tire, less wheel. -
Superliner RW700 Steering axle
The Heinz replied to 1961H67's topic in Antique and Classic Mack Trucks General Discussion
Interesting, I don't know if NC is like that, or if this is just a trend that fleets are following. Thanks for that info though, another thing I didn't know. -
Superliner RW700 Steering axle
The Heinz replied to 1961H67's topic in Antique and Classic Mack Trucks General Discussion
It's really common around here, I see a lot of the concrete mixers and dump trucks run it, but I've noticed low boy haulers using wide steer tires recently, bet it gives them better stability or something. -
Just checked two 1987 trucks, one with an E6 350, the other with an EM6 300, and they both have the same crankshaft, camshaft, con rods, and pistons, but the injectors and even the injection pumps are different. I don't know if the EM6 being in an R686ST and the other being in a Superliner would make a difference or not.
-
I have a couple of VIN's of trucks with EM6's and 300hp, I would assume that's the highest a Maxidyne would go. Have yet to run across an EM9 though.

This truck came with an EM6 285 2VH and an Allison HT740D.

I think these originally came with Cummins 855's, switching to the 8.3 liters at some point.

Joey's pretty spot on. I don't have the hard numbers because the last ASET in-frame we handled was so long ago, but the last engine swing for an ASET we did in '22 was over $34k. Add inflation into it as well as you not getting the same price as the fleet this was done for on our end, and it'll skyrocket.

I think Mack still sells the camelback, which they better. I haven't met anyone that actually likes the mRide (vRide with the stupidly expensive v-rods that break all the time), and there's obviously applications where air ride is not suitable. As for Mack rear ends, I really haven't seen any problems outside of age or abuse. I have seen more Meritors fail than Macks, but those probably weren't Meritor's fault.

MAYBERRY TRUCK SHOW
The Heinz replied to 1961H67's topic in Antique and Classic Mack Trucks General Discussion
I've never liked the mega chrome crowd, especially the stretched frame, low-riding ones. I can only see that making it harder to drive the darn thing, but what do I know, I'm a parts guy. -
Hope it turned out well, I could have helped if I had seen this post. I keep an Excel sheet of 45 VINs for old Macks, an '86 White, an N14 equipped Volvo, and a couple of Titans, just for cases like this.

MAYBERRY TRUCK SHOW
The Heinz replied to 1961H67's topic in Antique and Classic Mack Trucks General Discussion
This one is the same that I've seen, says Sowers on the doors and is a triaxle. -
My range for truck shows is a little small right now, but my friend Frank (the red Superliner I've posted pictures of) was there without the truck. Sent me a bunch of videos of all the V8's running, including the tractor pull champ demonstrating what 2600HP looks like. I need to add that to my list of future events.

MAYBERRY TRUCK SHOW
The Heinz replied to 1961H67's topic in Antique and Classic Mack Trucks General Discussion
Looks like a good time. I remember that blue R700 from last year's Greensboro show. I was surprised at how quiet that thing was compared to the GMC (?) that had a 2 stroker in it. My brother isn't into trucks like me but he was enjoying how weird those things sound compared to everything else he's heard! -
I'm going to have to borrow some of those, they sound absolutely delicious.

Sorry for the late reply, our internet was down for a chunk of Friday, and I didn't think to check the forum during the weekend. This is the crossmember for the front engine mount, but unfortunately, it is obsoleted by Mack. The part number is 10QL39311, and it's called a BRACKET noted as SUPPORT ASSY, ENGINE FRONT.
-
The newest number from Cummins is 3054088PX, but they only show to have two in the entire network on my end.
-
I haven't heard about the Pinnacle, and news about the MP7 hasn't reached me except for the rumor that a new Cummins engine would replace it. Which is crazy, considering Cummins has such a hold over the entire truck industry,

In our experience, once the float is stuck, just throw the whole reservoir at it. We can get Automann versions a lot cheaper than the Mack one, with the exact same results.
