  11. Nice lookin ride, can tell thats not from New York, looks rust free
  12. found out that same exact thing when my cam went, macks issue with welding the carbide to the lifter and with the price factor. i think my cam would have been 900-1100 $$$$ and a set of lifters would cost 1600$$ through mack, got them after market for 1200$$. Charels told me all the same things about what he does. all my pieces of the lifter were all in the pan in very small pieces along with half the lobe. that was quite a learning exp. for me at that time, its called got yaa. i am glad that there is a place like cam craft out there to help with these problems.. did you do your cam inframe or out. my problem was holding the lifters in place when i slid the new cam in, did it with magnets and grease. 13. Hey i dont think that the 2080 is the best tranny, i would love to have something different in my 89 dm690, seems like 4th is wound to tight and 5th your luggin on hills, but thats what the salesman said was the best when we bought the truck dont listen to salesmen. GG2

  16. With the prices climbing , maybe i would be better to look for a superdog with a 6 in it.dont want to have to put alot of $$$ in to the truck not knowing if my idea will pan out.......i do like the sounds of how that shifts. Thanks GG2
  17. Not having a 12 speed yet and being dumb to them , how do you shift them, and how does the pattern go. GG2
  18. thinkin of buying a 713,and want to do some home work, if i remember right didnt some of the v-8s have head issues, or is that the early versions. How are parts for the E9, and fuel milage.. what is the shift pattern like. had a mack with a tranny that was a 5 speed in low ,neutral ,reverse, and drive. is that what the 12 speeds are like. thats more torque than my 300L has, sounds like rollin a 100,000#s shouldnt be an issue, just have to make sure my idea will pay for its self..........thanks guys D.smith
  19. Does any one know what the torque output on a E-9 500 is and what the best tranny combo was. Green Giant 2
