  1. Do you have the cam out yet, there is a place called cam craft that will do re grinds ,and if you have a good core will give credit on old one. they need the # off the old one to match. when mine went , the guy told me he did many regrinds for mack corp. and built many cams for the pulling trucks........phone # 1800 426 2261 ask for charels, he may be able to answer your question about bigger hp cam. GG2
  2. Hey how goes the search, any luck. GG2
  3. thinkin that it could be a 64 , would make me think that the dowel size will be the smaller size, which means you need to find parts for a B series, parts off a 175B would work........you could always look on ebay for manuals, dont know if i like the idea of no air filter, is there a decal on the filter housing that states what international part # the filter would be GG2
  4. any luck yet finding a serial # on the machine GG2
  5. B and C models all had sprocket rings , many of the parts off the 175's will interchange, realy all that is different is the side frames. little difference in the finals with gear size and heft. try finding a parts book on line to find the difference between the two. GG2
  6. may know of some, but i think the dowel size will be different size GG2
  7. gooooooood deal one new track or 2 new tracks, hows the skin on the blade look, should be 10'6" semi u blade........had a 20b that i bought years ago for 3601.99 sealed bid with new bottom, sold it for 11,000 1 year later to buy my tag trailer, was a nice machine,,,,, make sure you get a nice chrome stack on it........ GG2
  8. could do a filter check also , they may have run different filters for a 361 or 407 maybe air filters do to bigger engine size, should be a stamping on engine mid block under exhaust man.
  9. Had a 1971 15c that was a early machine but the dash looks early style for the 15 b series
  10. hard to say was thinkin first that its an later 15b,but lookin at the dash ,looks like my old TD-9 SERIES B. nice lookin tracks,no rops easier to get under low places. what peeks my interest is on the right side u have a cover that covers the hyd. lines on the floor plate. dont understand why ,my machine had them there for the winch hyd lines from the engine mounted pump. the throttle handle is very simalar to my old 9,dash and all. i want to say that it is an older model. you may be able to look at the injector pump and get #s of and look up what that pump fit on also. so did you get it for a steal???????????? look good to run GreenGiant2
  11. lOOK ON THE ENGINE ON THE EXHAUST SIDE SHOULD BE A TAG OR A STAMPED AREA WITH ENGINE SIZE....ON MY OLD 15C THERE WAS A TAG UP ON THE SEAT AREA OR THE POWERSHIFT PEDASTAL AREA SOMETHING RINGS A BELL THAT ON THE REAR MAIN FRAME ABOVE DRAWBAR IS A STAMPING WITH SER.# TRY CALLIN YOUR NEAREST DEALER THAT HANDLES DRESSER EQUIP. 12. Been gettin itchy waiting to find more about the 15b, get it home yet. GreenGiant2
  13. find out who the machine is made by. i think link belt and case are by the same builders. same as new holland and kobelco, deere and hitachi. i tried out a 315c cat and found the swing speed to be at 10.5rpm, slower than my old exc. that is 22 years old.i ended up buying a komatsu.they are very dependable and parts are not a problem, same as with cat. i think you still pay for name with cat.many people have told me that the cats are slow and under powered and will not pick loads like the komatsu will. not to say they all have there problems down the line. dont be afraid to try out the machine and work it hard before you buy. my 2 cents. 18. parts are still avalible, but getting very expensive . i was looking into a drott 50 last spring that had a bad house swing gear, and did locate one but was 2500 dollars. not many machines around anymore. are you looking for play or work. i do have a excavator for sale, if your interested............. many of the used parts dealers have gotten rid of these machines years ago and been updating to the newer stuff. i know were a drott 50 sits now , not a bad machine but bad swing gear. 24. Forgot to mention we also had a 1982 r model tanker truck and a 1991Dm 690 single axle tasnker truck, both used in the septic bus. we had.We also had 2 road graders, but one was used to pull a 11 shank chiesel plow for incorperating the septic into the ground. also had a SP-56 IR roller. If you paid less than 14,000$ for the dozer you stole it Green Giant2
