  4. Ive done some odd things before like put my TD-8 dozer in the back of my DM 690 and close the gate and then put mt 14 ton excavator on the trailer and went to jobs and grossed close to 80,000 pounds but i didnt move at the speed of light. i dont think i would like to have that much material behind me on some of the roads they travel. 5. In one of my history of mack books i have it shows a steel nose mack owned byPellitirre Logging with 175 ton of timber behind it on doublr trailers. On the hood is the number 440 , been watching for that truck but havent seen it yet. all there stuff is cool. GreenGiant 2
  6. Thanks for writing back do you know what the name of this thing is . i am helping my friend on his truck so he can use it in his business. I thought it would be a good idea to pull my small trailer when i need his help in my excavating business moving the small stuff. he doesnt want to spend alot of money right now cause he just got laid off and his employer just closed up shop. he's a good friend and i want to help him get the old girl on the road. and the former owner would be thrilled to see it going again. the old owner had to let the truck go cause of his health and still has a b model with a r model cab on it and is hoping to be back on the road again this spring. i hope it works out for him .the 1964 b-53 ran the roads every day till 2 years ago hauling stone and dirt. i will come up with something to make the wiring work . thanks again Don GreenGiant2 sorry for rambling on

  8. Hi guys i have never had a blog before and hope this goes well and could use your help. iam helping a friend work on his B 53 1964 dump. i plumbed the truck for air to the rear for his trailer and rewired it so it will not start to glow (get my drift) the truck was set up with a turn signal circut and a brake circut. easy fix with 2 sets of lites in the rear. now the issue of my friend pulling my small trailer with electric brakes. i will install a brake controller in the cab but i have 2 circuts to work with. is my best bet to put a new turn signal switch in and wire the brake lites in through that so the signals work together with the brakes and work with the trailer wiring....the truck isnt on the road yet, but soon to be. thanks guys ( don) GreenGiant2 PS MACKS AND BROCKWAY'S WHAT A PERFECT COMBINATION
  9. sorry to here of your fathers passing. it all depends on what type of work u are doing with your truck. camelback susp. is the best type for off road wet and dry work. if you are on road all the time air ride is alot smoother for you and the truck. if the truck is set up correctly for air ride the air will let out much faster allowing each axle to contact the ground faster, giving more traction. you will not have the same weight per duals as you will with camel back. my DM690 mack will push mud with the front axle and drag the rears in wet ground. (i still do get stuck now and then ) in air ride you couldnt even get that far good luck ( Don) GreenGiant 2
