  1. My 2016 will do that when the filter is high percent full. You should be able to check the Soot level in your Diagnostics on your dashboard Menu
  2. SWEEET RIDE THERE Ralphie 😆 😂 😆 🤣 😂
  3. I figure it this way I drove a 2006 Coronado with a Series 60 Detroit 14.0L 515HP factory with a 10spd Eaton and 3:73 gears. Not governed etc no Def or Any of that Regen stuff etc. Whether fully loaded or empty avg MPG was 7-8. Also drove a 1995 Peterbilt with a 3406E cat and it got 6-7MPG same whether loaded or empty and it was probably 425-500HP maybe with a 10spd. Do I want a truck with 700-1,000 HP For OTR Nope I sure don't but having 500-600 HP and from learning how to use it correctly Yes Sir!!! It's funny how Aerosol Hair spray and paint etc are Still sold and at one time were quoted as being harmful to the Ozone 😆 😂 But OH NO THAT TRUCK CAN'T SMOKE AT ALL I MEAN " HOW DARE YOU!!!!!" It's all a joke to me anymore.
  4. Exactly....These new So called engineers and the government have successfully done away with all that
  5. I've driven by that place!! I loved those internationals he had sitting there!! I never could remember the name of the place!!!
  6. I'd definitely drive it!!!
  7. I guess I was born in the wrong Era like my Grandfather always said. Here lately after all the issues with The Green Hornet 💚 I've been wanting an older Truck Particularly a CABOVER!!! Now I know alot will tell me that I'm nuts and that's OK but I remember riding in an old Freightliner when I was younger up in Michigan and I fell in love with it. Now a few modern updates would be great like air ride, short frame stretch maybe, and a fridge maybe also a webasto heater for winter. But other than that I just wanna go down the road in a Cabover. Couple favorite ones are the late 70s Freightliner,Mack MH613,International 4070B.
  8. Welcome My Fellow TRUCKER. I'd love to see that Rig.
  9. Would be a nice Canidate for an old school High rise Square Sleeper. I'd drive it
  10. That's exactly how I learned to Time an Engine. I remember I timed my 400M in my 79 Bronco then it got sent to the shop for some other things. I've know the owner since I was little and he asked me if I timed it by ear and when I said yes he laughed alil and said I was only about MAYBE a 10th off after checking it with his timing light.
  11. Sounds like what happened to me but I ran out of Fuel on Caryville Mountain in Tennessee. My problem wasn't the vent either. Mechanic mixed up the lines when he put the tank back on.
  12. Uh huh ok Raphie!!!!
  13. I had an Mp8 DO the same thing and broke the same clamp. Turned out that the Turbo was locked up as well.
  14. That's Hilarious!! Gonna start calling you Ralphie!! 😆 😂 😆 😂
  15. All depends on where you come from....Work trucks....Vintage.....or Beaters... Show trucks.....All the Same Just trucks
  16. YOU'RE GONNA SHOOT YOUR EYE OUT RED RIDER!!!
  17. I agree on a Vintage "show" Truck Git the right stuff. On a Ol'Beater with a heater that gits worked everyday Then Repurpose.
  18. That's what us Simple folk call Repurposing
  19. Exactly!!
  20. Yeah Joey the national average was around 1.00 a gallon In the United States in 1989 so some places may have been lower hahaha. I just looked it up hahahaha. Also I was 2yrs old in 89 hahaha.
  21. They make Tank strap rubber you can order to fit under them straps to protect from Rubbing and Rusting. Don't go the cheap route and try to put 4inch strap material under the straps because that will in turn cause rubbing of the tank and it acts like Sand paper hahaha. I know from personal experience on a 1995 Peterbilt 379 logging/OTR truck I drove for about 2yrs.
  22. Yeah That's definitely a Contoured COFFIN Sleeper
  23. Oh you're Fine Mate 🙂
