  1. I believe the turbo is fine it just needs calibrated.
  2. Did you ever calibrate/factory relearn the new turbo?
  3. I believe it is possible but I really can’t say much more then that on it. There used to be a guy on here named staxx that would have the answer for you. He had a mp8 race truck…
  4. That’s great to hear and a lot cheaper then the “must have” Volvo tools haha.
  5. Since it’s deleted, throw a fixed turbo on there haha.
  6. Timing it go smoothly for you?
  7. I wonder if there is a warranty on that turbo? It won’t derate the truck, it would just be stuck in that one position and throw a code.
  8. AWESOME!!!! Congrats man!
  9. I’m trying to show neo one of many threads he asked for info on and never came back to or cared to read. Sounds like 80 dollars he should have spent haha. For some reason I doubt you will ever see a midliner again. Here’s another example of these books though, 80 dollars of info could be worth a lot more to someone.
  10. Well if you go back to some of the other threads you will see the info you asked for….
  11. Right! Also when your ready to start it leave the valve cover off. You might be going back to move it tooth. I believe the computer will let you know if your good or not.
  12. There’s nothing to mark, it’s all done for you. You just need to follow the procedure. Watch the video if you don’t have it. I also sent you the procedure for replacing all the gears and no where in there does it say anything about marking them or timing the idler gear. If the crank is at tdc, your cam is at tdc, and your cam gear is lined up with the the mark on the head your engine is timed.
  13. It was a dig…there isn’t much on these engines, and what there is it’s either garbage or not what your looking for…I hope this helps.
  14. Different engine, same concept.
  15. I think he will get this done, I’m sure a lot of people have done it without the tools and been ok. Also on the other hand I’m sure a lot of people have done it without the tools and weren’t ok.
  16. Honestly it’s a little tuff to navigate at first, but I could give you my login/password…

  18. Do you have fleet impact? If not I’ll look up the procedure on one of our MP8s on Monday.

  20. Yea honestly it just makes sense. That’s what I need to start doing, is just buying them. Once they are gone they are gone. That’s when they really become worth money especially if someone needs the info. Knowledge/information like that is truly priceless though.
  21. Neo you should pry start your own thread for all your questions. You have resurrected about 6 topics back from the dead. If you start your own, you can get all your info in one place and also be notified when someone gives you more info.
  22. Sounds like you should have bought one of those midliner books JoeyMack told you about. He has them now…
  23. Let us know how you make out. You got this!
