  2. And same with yourself doublclutchinweasel
  3. Haha yea, like you said pry regret posting that…good luck!
  4. I use this https://ferrumtools.net/products/heavy-duty-yoke-puller?_pos=2&_sid=206822162&_ss=r
  5. That has to be atleast 5k in info.
  6. Good point, so let’s just say cutting it out is truck application specific. Although you might have a better chance at hitting the lottery then having what your saying happen…
  7. Didn’t know that you could do that, makes sense!
  8. Joey doesn’t need anymore likes! He’s killing us again this week! 🤣
  9. Also don’t forget dirty breathers. It also could very well be the bearing. In another post he said the truck was hit in the side pushing the rear or springs sideways some.
  10. As long as it’s a snap on air hammer!
  11. You can do it, hardest part is getting the yoke off. I always have to use a yoke puller, but I live in PA…Some people have luck getting them off with a hammer.
  12. Very clean! Looks to be taken good care of.
  13. Don’t be sorry for the questions, that’s why a lot of us are here. We enjoy helping others fix their problems or just teaching. We also learn a lot through people like you. If they actually come back and tell us the fix….haha. I completely understand where your coming from on everything you touched on and I agree 100% The problem with these trucks is it’s pretty rare you get the “hey I seen that before” these trucks have a mind of their own. You could get codes for one thing and have it be something completely different. You can see something a few times and then it’s different another time. Sometimes the only way to fix these is to change parts until the light goes out, as stupid as that sounds…I called in air support for the big dogs, stand bye…help will be here.
  14. Post some pics of the exterior, interior, and engine.
  15. @Vmac3, @fjh, @Mackpro, @Joey Mack
  16. Believe it or not sometimes the only way to fix these trucks is to throw parts at them….it’s sad I know, but it’s really what it’s come to.
  17. Start by fixing the code first and then go from there.
  18. Yea well without PTT I can’t tell you much more then that. These trucks are a nightmare to diagnose even in person. So it’s nearly next to impossible to do it over the internet for most issues. Volvo/Mack says for that code it can cause a derate, and to check for short to ground/broken wire in the turbo speed signal wire.
  19. those easy pedals are the shit, just put one in on a rd688 and wow! Honestly it’s just as light if not lighter then the air assist. You can get them with the air assist too, that might be too light!
  20. So there is, and it’s a great idea to check that and easy haha. Pretty rare that goes bad or comes off especially at 23k. Hard pedal is no air assist, bad regulator or cylinder. No return usually spring or linkage is messed up.
  21. https://www.mid-americaclutch.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Mack-Truck-SB313005-Air-Operated-Clutch-Assist-Adjustment-Troubleshooting.pdf
  22. Air assist uses a large spring for return in the linkage. The air cylinder is only for disengaging the clutch. If he has a soft pedal pushing in then the cylinder is fine. If it’s not returning it’s more then likely the return spring and that’s a whole new linkage. About 1200 dollars.
  23. Great engines, In cylinder egr on that engine. Nothing to worry about. The “AC” engine is the problematic one, with the egr cooler and variable geometry turbo.
