  1. Thank you. I wish i had done these decades ago, but only watched Earl do it..
  2. Is that a bench priming procedure? Then mount it to the engine at the books setting then recheck it by rotating the engine back to the timing mark?
  3. Perfect. Sleep on it.. it will be obvious tomorrow.. just sayin'.
  4. Did centering the sector shaft to the worm gear not get you in the right spot ? Just curious.
  5. Was there not an arrow stamped in the smooth end of the sector shaft, and a dot stamped on the pitman arm ?
  6. Have you considered taking a good sample to a paint shop or Oriellys to get it scanned for a match? Can you drive it to them ?
  7. I'm almost done with an ENDT -673. I have the engine set on #1 at Zero degrees. I do have the correct manual, but this time I am asking those of you who have done it to give me some pointers. Will i need a high pressure pump to push fuel through the inj. Pump ? I will post pictures of the pump soon. I am trying to figure that out without posting links. Jojo
  8. mech, I believe you told him to remove that section and check it.. just sayin' 🍻
  9. did you make a decision?
  10. the only thing about the new cracker barrel Person, is that the pink and blue hair as well as a face full of fishing tackle, is missing.
  11. Ok.. im sorry. Im wrong about the diaphragm.. I guess all those times i was isolating a bad brake chamber was in error.. I will back out if this thread so as not to post incorrect statements.
  12. Is that big line the supply, and the top one is the signal line ?
  13. It seems to me he needs to chock the wheels air up the truck, release the brakes and pinch the drive axle service lines at each maxi to see if he has a bleedback going on. The maxi that stops the leak will have a bad diaphragm.
  14. The valve in the link you posted is what i meant. His picture is not detailed enough, need to see other angles
  15. Looks like a basic R-12 valve between two ABS controllers to me.. if so they are cheap to buy
  16. Its the ABS valve..
  17. Is the data tag still on the valve? You may just have to remove it to I.D. it. Mechohaulic makes a good suggestion. At $600.00 i would take it apart and inspect it and clean it, and try to rebuild it. Is the air system Bendix or Wabco?
  18. I too agree that the van driver is at fault. Yes, going too fast. It is a bad mix of events. As far as the drivers nationality, i dont care, but he cant speak english, and is not a citizen, and California gave him a CDL.. im a CDL trainer for my city, and our guys have to jump through hoops just get an appointment for the permit test. To be clear.... I am a product of Legal Immigration. My grand parents came from Italy 115+ years ago..
  19. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&opi=89978449&url=https://m.youtube.com/watch%3Fv%3DCriwRtxLy_A&ved=2ahUKEwjEmraPh5iPAxVYwskDHc0iDA4QwqsBegQIFxAG&usg=AOvVaw0hwciTOaM88SZ-hIE4pi2o Here is a link to an illegal truck driver that killed 3 people.. What say you, to the libs on here that support these illegals..??
  20. As far as crime stats go.... I do need to be clear about liberal progressive sanctuary cities... They report that the crime rates are down in their cities... Thats because less people are reporting crime, and there are less convictions to add to the crime totals...
  21. How much internet searching have you done ? I just did some and there are many options, too many for me to post for you. Have you tried "Mack E-Media" web site ? I used it many times, especially when i had dealership permissions..
  22. Karen Bass is a racist.. The truth is that 13% of the U.S. population commits over 65% of the crimes.. They are doing it to themselves.. Ok,,, Now its my turn to be called a racist.. 🍻
  23. Absolutely!!! Paul, everything takes forever. All of the parts need to be sand blasted and primed, and kept clean. Dust is probably my biggest enemies. I had to re-do some of them that sat on my shelf for a year +, and some developed a light coat of rust, so, back in the blaster they go, and them more primer.. I prefer building engines, who's parts are readily available, and i can get them done before dust and rust comes to visit. 🍻
  24. I have one too. https://photos.app.goo.gl/2zASY6jW1MB3wN1m9
