  1. if you intend on getting the heads planed, please be sure they know how to cut the fire ring grooves. if they are straight then just polish the deck. valve seals take a little effort to replace, do you have a set of them? how do the injector bores look? how are the rocker arm assemblies? do the rockers move freely and smoothly without fetching or rattling? sorry aboout all the Q's.. I'm just chatty i guess... jojo
  2. same here Tom.. I e-mail them to ME then make a lnk, then post the link, and sometimes the picture does show up, then.... well, you get it....
  3. DITTO... What ''BOBWhite'' said..
  4. when you replace the tanks, I reccomend the aluminum updat, its 1 peice, and the coolant sensor is higher up in the tank, so that the light wont come on when your a pint low..
  5. looks like someone was climbing on the engine and used the rad. tank as a step.. there is a single alumnum tank update for that crappy set-up.
  6. This is why I was asking why it was cut..
  7. under the turbo is a smooth metal box... thats it..
  8. be glad it doesnt push coolant.. are you replacing the radiator, or try to weld a new nipple in place.? just curious?.
  9. you may get mixed opions on whether or not to leave the screen in there.. we used to pull them out when coolant would push out of the tank.. right or wrong, we did it..
  10. if i remember right, there is 8 more inches of hose on the the smaller one.. anyway, did you find a leak? the area whare you are is veryy possible.
  11. its missing. it goes in the big hose.. why is the other hose cut?
  12. 5,000.00?? Is it real, and why does the 'Spray paint job'' look incomplete inside the right door jamb ? sorry, not sure about this one. Is a an American original 'tin toy'?
  13. I too am slow to get things done on it, the first pictures and the second pictures are 1 1/2 years apart. I build Mack engines for folks, in my shop, and some other engines too. I have built 7 during that time frame for others, and let my 'Toy' sit..
  14. I wish I had parts to send you. I greatly appreciate your honesty. I say that MarkT has a great idea about greasing the front hubs.. I too am just a regular Joe, I have an old truck that I pick at from time to time.. I have a bunch of parts from other trucks tha I will fit to my truck.. It takes time, I have a full time job, and enough other things to maintain.. I like this post... Jojo
  15. did you check the binary switch and wires in the reciever dryer?
  16. bed time for me,, be safe... jojo
  17. Glad you got my humor Duck.. Rubber side down Brother...
  18. For the short time I drove for Schnieder, (15 months) all i drove was INT. cab overs... No way I could drive the last one they gave me today.. it had a doghouse and a coffen sleeper... I can not bend today as I did back then.. LOL getting dressed was better done outside next to the truck, than in the bunk..
  19. Gw, good eyes, My 1 and only big truck was a Century class condo, basic truck, 12.7, meritor 10 spd, ( I didnt like it as much as an eaton).. 2.92 rears.. it would pull good,,, but ,,,, well, you know. Not a power house.. no point to my spittle here...
  20. Funny you say this FJH,, I have thought to use a volume knob hooked to my coolant sensor for my '90 G-20 van, with TBI.. just to see if I could mess with how it warms up, and drives.. Just because.. I may do it this weekend..
  21. I was gooing to say that they are metal, but laid back.. anyway, The FLD was just a cookie cutter truck, but as was stated, these OLD trucks are becoming head turners.. They aint beatiful like a 379 or W900, but to me, they are a better truck than any of what is less than 15 years old.. I would drive an FLD any day, I prefer Series 60 12.7 with 10+ tranny. I just like em'..
  22. I've heard for 2 years, that there is 2 body doubles. I want to think that is B.S... however, I keep seeing and hearing it is true.. If this is true, It will mess me up.. I wont know who or what to believe, even worse than my little mind is doing now..
  23. The 200 series does not have the splines in the end of the lower countershaft , like the 100 series do, so side mount PTO is his choice here, if his 6 spd. doesnt have an aux. box, then i think the drive gear location is in a different spot. I have built many Mack tranny's, but not 2060's.. sure wish i had a, for sure answer..
