  1. to say; very lucky " is a down play on words !! YOU are way beyond lucky to have an understanding ,beautiful wife ; who by the way does NOT look to be over 45 . hopefully you will have a positive birthday celebration Sunday. also happy belated anniversary
  2. that the man (and wife) I was trying to remember. thank you
  3. where's the milk hauler ; he's part of the small group. can't remember his log on name. always posting pictures of his truck and pretty lady. one lucky Bast---d. meant in positive way!
  4. guess I've been married so long ; I have been able to tune out distractions in my life (wife)! if the adds helped finance this site ;hopefully BMT will continue.
  5. to have a wife stand in front of a truck and smile ; part of a very small group. sadly a group I can't qualify for.
  6. I know . it was a miss print ;;You've been married for 16yrs. and she was 20
  7. well it's obvious the pretty lady is NOT 43 . being married for 36 yrs looks like You married the pretty lady when she was 3yrs old.
  8. first Mack for me was a brand new DM611 SX ; quad box;; took it to a glass shop for window repair , I was 18 . mechanics stood outside laughing as new kid TRIED to shift a quad going down road.
  9. 1- if the unit was running then shut down that MIGHT eliminate the critters involvement. locked up from the get go ; blame critters. 2- "mechanics" unsure of what they are doing pulling unit :which may have parking brake not maxis unless changed over 3- when in doubt drop drive shaft , then manually attempt engine turning with socket/ bar go forth then go backth.. 4- possible critter involve on a B pull intake manifold or AT LEAST check intake pipe.. 5- anyone check see if it ran out of fuel / dirty fuel filter. 6 - i'd go with one issue (shut down) complicated by lack of knowledge by "mechanics. 7- pulling valve covers by unsure "mechanic " could result in a bigger problem. 8 I was going with a seized starter till it was mentioned starter had been removed. 9- I have seen a spicer clutch loose it's wedge lock and screw things up :: dime to doughnut that's not this issue.
  10. doesn't appear to be a painted sign ? anyone save the sign if it was tarp ??
  11. but is she a true blonde ??? only her hairdresser knows for sure.
  12. they are NOT issues but future challenges !! on a nice very hot sunny day when neighbor has all their windows open and wind in right direction ;; start the Dm with intake pipe off and spray some ATF fluid in intake so exhaust will send smoke their way. only for short time. when they call law enforcement . you want exhaust clear and clean !! "don't know what they are talking about officer , look it runs clean " LOL
  13. after enlarging the picture, can see the double dibit marks some one put on towards top right side. realigning is important.
  14. some one lost the original set screws or couldn't find proper allen wrench for install. some where under all the rust there should be a small arrow on the arm and steering output shaft. easier to just mark arm to shaft location , mis alignment the truck will steer one way more then other.
  15. actually a hole in floor was common back then for the wheel standers. not the little red wagon . one of the funny cars back then had the driver further back ;a hole (window) through the floor was needed for him to see. another thing from early days before computers. was more exciting to watch a vehicle -that resembled cars of the day go 150 mph operated by man then todays 300mph aerodynamic plastic cars run basically by computer.
  16. thought Bob's DM was a '66 which would make it the two set screw version. can't place the "last style" ;; but that's OK - don't expect to be involved with one.
  17. THANK YOU for the service manual. two set screws were more common(early) ; the large (5/8th ? allen ) did wake some brain cells, don't remember exact application.
  18. also it depends on the box the DM has. a sheppard outside frame pitman had the two screws. inside frame ?? closing in on 74 I was still able to keep up with the youngsters loading hay and shaving on flatbed today after all day of sanding/grinding!! so maybe mind cells are off a little.
  19. don't mess with me that way.; it's been a very long day of sanding/grinding .LMAO
  20. clue me in Sir 🤪;; on a DM600 pitman arm memory seems to be two 5/16 set screws on back side of pitman arm to which main purpose is to secured pitman arm to steering box output shaft ?? when box removal is main objective the arm need not be disconnected from pitman ????
  21. don't forget to back off the set screws on pitman arm. a good jaw puller
  22. years back I had an opportunity to purchase a (39?) FK dump. was located in gravel pit in RI. 12/24rubber . excellent shape = didn't go any where except in the pit. original 220 cummins was replaced with a mack engine. checked around to be told ;"you won't find the engine ". only way to move truck was on trailer and being over 9 ft wide ::I passed on it.
  23. I'm here racking my brain cells trying to remember CORRECTLY the proper system. yes I was involved when systems were brand new ;; which also means the long range problems didn't show up yet. the air filter was a two section set up . tip turbine air came from ??? oil bath with 2 in wire screen removal able prescreen ;; didn't change that many tip turbines due to blade failure .
  24. model of your choice;;; SIR! the more the merrier. fortunately Mack has enough different models to keep the series going.one of the best parts of these coins is you can't put them on the spokes of a bicycle like we did as kids not knowing we were destroying a baseball card worth thousands of dollars today, LOL, build a set of coins today will be the best present to our great grand children in years to come.
