  1. Hey guys. my GREAT boss knows Im a Mack guy and has agreed to buy me a lightly used Mack instead of a new T880 KW. My co worker took the KW. I guess it pays off to talk about Macks a lot and try to be a great employee. Maybe my Mack mud flaps on my Freightliner did it? We are looking for a needle in a haystack it seems. I was tasked to find the truck. Ive tried truck paper, truck trader, Ryder. Im told it needs these specs. It needs to be in Colorado or close so he can go see it in person or a dealer that can bring it here. -Later model, low miles, hopefully under warranty -10 or 13 Speed or 3.25 or so rears -Red in color, if all possible -short wheel base, tandem axle -CH or CX , he wants a CX Pinnacle more -in the high 80 to 90k price range -And maybe with a pintle on rear so its set up for us to run doubles/triples. Any help would be great. I haven't been on here much because of work and family lately.
  2. He's using 15W40 Rotella In the truck Im talking about and its a older Cummins engine. I guess he's ok to run it up to 1400-1500RPM once it shows oil pressure on the gauge at warmer temps. I start my work truck , it runs itself to 900 RPM, builds air then after warming itself up it idles down to 700 RPM. After about 10 min or so I start out after a pre trip.
  3. The guy I was arguing with said, he starts it, when it shows a oil pressure reading on the gauge then he runs it up to 1400 RPM to build air pressure and all.
  4. I got into a discussion the other day with other "truckers" about starting their trucks and warming up. Do any of you guys see a problem with walking out when its ,example : 65F outside temp ,getting to work and starting your truck in the morning and running it up to 1400 RPM right away after it show's oil pressure on the gauge to build air pressure and all? I just don't do that for many reasons but I wanted other guys opinions on the matter. - Thanks
  5. There was a B60 series out here in CO for sale not long ago. Hippie owned it.
  6. I thought I was the only trucker that liked Truck Driving Songs about trucks , truckers, and a waitress called Flo and how fast them trucks go lol
  7. The RV industry has lobbyist , I heard that long ago, and they lobby to keep a CDL requirement or anything such from being needed to buy they 500,000 dollar RV mom and pop are driving. It hurts business.... I think a CDL or similar endorsement should be required on a license for a RV and any truck at all over 26k gross. People could learn a lot.
  8. Im glad it burned there and before it got to the customer.
  9. Its on Yahoo homepage now about the truck being on fire before it crossed the median. They have witnesses . But , its whatever the liberal media wants to put out. Bob you were the first one I thought if when I heard about the crash.
  10. Just CH's. Is that the truck your selling?
  11. Yeah , he was looking for the part for it. Jetter Trucks is a dealer , im sure one of his trucks would work for your export deal. MikeD, that is the R model that guys dream about, a lot of class there. Id be proud to own and drive it.
  12. 789k miles and still running pretty good. It gets down the road at 75-80mph still, im sure other drivers talk about those dam mud flaps and all lol Its better than the FL I was driving for Fed Ex ground...
  13. I forgot , I take it to the car wash once a week too. I pride having the nicest truck in the fleet , I think. 1st pic is the day I got it. The others I took today next to one of the stores with my new painted rims and bumper LOL. I have a Bulldog hood ornament on the dash.
  14. Id commute to drive a Bulldog lol My boss I think is trying to buy a used Mack for me in the future.. I hope since I take good care of the Freightliner and he knows im a Mack man. Ill snap some pictures tomorrow.
  15. I guess im a rare diver, being young, but taking my lunch breaks to paint my rims , spend my own money on new things like mud flaps , and I buy nice work pants and tuck in my shirt...and drive a truck I don't own. I hope a driver like the one in the picture can see me some day and give me a thumbs up or a little wave as we pass.
  16. Drove through snow yesterday again in Monument CO in I25... I need a break. You could see 10 miles east was blue skies...
  17. Your pretty close to us here, any plain jane B61's or s/a tractors?
  18. Is the new logo why my Mack Dealer has a hell of a sale on the old Logo Mack mudflaps?? I bought 2 sets , one for my Freightliner at work and one to keep at that price.
  19. Ill bet it looks more complete and better in person , it looks like the pics were taken as it came out of paint and they took the tape off?? Nice would PS be a option in 1960 on a B?
  20. I wish it was closer or freight was cheaper, anyone here want to go pick it up and bring it here?? Im a spoke hub fan but I can find some better classic rims for it. Whats the tank behind the cab for?
  21. Its stopping a 31,200 load with a non CDL driver that worries me, just a hero with a big pick up
  22. Id try the 1st one I said,1st. I really like them. Gulfway didn't like us when I got a ticket a long time ago
  23. We use Continental Western for insurance but it has to stay inside, and that's on a 1991 year truck.. A friend uses Gulfway and his is a 1990 , and sits outside.
  24. Sure wish it was closer or shipping wasn't so bad . Roanoke, va
