  7. I know it sounds close and it is, but my wife is in Kidney failure and on Dailysis plus on the transplant list so we are suppose to stay within a hr drive from OSU. it kind of puts the brakes on the traveling
  8. I wish you guys was a bit closer, i would like to come over to your open house and take advantage of a couple of your specials, It,s a nice news letter,i like reading the histories of the trucking industrees
  9. One of the dumdist things i ever did was to ride on a dozer being moved about 3 or 4 miles, i ran a D7 wide track that was use as a runabout to fix things at a big mine for several yrs, one day we moved it to patch some ground hog holes in a dam so i ran it on the lowboy and just shut it down, i just sat on the sit on rode along, Try that someday
  10. i had picked up several different ones on ebay myself
  11. What a bunch of morons, you could tell they had no money in it, the dozer looks to be new from the paint on the underside, a company i use to work for loss there butts on a big road job in Mexico because of the lack of skilled operators tearing there iron up or in the bottle all the time {but they want to come up here to take our jobs}
  12. I might have you one, a guy i know had a truck repair shop for yrs, i asked him today he is going to look, will know this weekend
  13. As a retired heavy equitment operater that was good, but check this out, oops i can,t get the file to switch over but i have pictures of a guy taking a rubber tired hoe up over the back of loaded coal cars and sitting on top unloading them
  14. Do you have decals like a 8x10 like that? That would be cool
  15. I wonderd why i was a Puppy Poster { i must of missed that day of school }, well everyone has to start out somewhere
  16. Thats a nice looking ride, i wish mine looked that good
  17. My Floor was junk, so i replaced all of it, its not to bad of a job just alot of time, i also put new cross supports in, i made a card board pattern of the floor before i started then just put it over a plate of steel to cut it out, be sure you put some kind of temporay braces in before you take the cross pieces out to keep the cab from springing one way or the other
  18. I seen one listed somewhere a few weeks ago, the Bidding started at 200 Thousand, i have no clue if it sold or not
  19. i had one, got it at a auction, it had a rollback bed on it, i will tell you i had very little problems with mine, besides little things here and there, plus it got good fuel mileage, my cab just rusted away, no you don,t need a cdl for it, at least not here in Ohio
  20. on my 3116 there is a little steel line about 1/8 inch that runs from the intake manifold to that fuel govener, i put a check valve between them two not letting the air back into the manifold, then on the turbo there is a waste gate, i put a plug in there so it won,t open up, 3rd on the fuel rack inside of the valve cover i gave the fuel rack 2 complete turns counter clockwise giving it more fuel, i have been around heavy equitment all my life plus pull tractors so i am all the time playing with horse power, i did make me some fittings and put manual water temp. and oil press gages on it thu also i put a tach on it from jegs that runs off the alternator, the factory ones was way off, i hope this helps you out
  21. I have a 3116 in a topkick roll back truck, i would say the 3126 just took its place, i rebuild the motor to specs and had the biggest dog in the world, Now tell me if that motor has a injection pump or just that fuel body thing on the upper left side of the motor, i did 3 things to mine to get it to run, i can run and keep up now, i had a D2 cat on in WV and could top hills on the highway running 70, i might be able to help you a little,
  22. was that the same one i seen on ebay, there was a short wb on there last week
  23. Thats a nice looking outfit, i had a midliner, a little older than yours, it had four hundred thousand on it, all i did was run it, Barry is right , keep the oil changed and reg, mant. and it will run and run, I got really good mileage out of mine, around 15 mpg, i replaced it with a topkick with a Kitty cat in it, So far i rebuild the motor, and about everything else on it and get around 8 mpg
  24. i switched mine over to oil, but after awhile it started to leak around the seals, yes they were new, i got treid of messing with them and went back to grease, it will work for all i am going to do with it
  25. Really nice pic,s Hopefully i can make it next yr
