  1. the easy jobs always turn into a major job, i seen a fool that used 4 3/8 s bolts on each side to add 2 ft on his frame, it didn,t work out to good, the bed landed ride beside of me
  2. wow what a load, i have hauled some big loads but not like that, how would you like for a state partol see you coming with a load like that ( yes i know its way to high) that would be a blast
  3. yea i have ran a 225 with a steering stick in the middle, that was always nice when you was trying to pull yourself with the bucket and try to steer it to, you needed another hand

  6. Nice, i would love to get ahold of that, lately i have picked up 4 John Deere tractors, a jd dozer, a silver king tractor and i am going to go look at a B tomorrow, the wife is ready to kick me out
  7. That is why i say very little,i try to get along with everybody, i sure don,t need to get in a keyboard fight, i would of loved to get ahold of the A car that my dad drove back in the 60,s , but i couldn,t compete with the high rollers that got it, only to sell it to some of there out of state pals, i know thats called good busness but i doubt it ever gets done
  8. That is a really nice dump, Back to the old jobby, when i was little i rode with my dad in a old A car like that, he Hauled a Terex Dozer From SE Ohio to St Louis in the winter, what a ride, i didn,t think we would ever get there not alone back, we would go until he couldn,t stay awake then sleep over the steering wheel,
  9. Go Granny GO, there needs to be alot more of that, but she will go to jail and get sued by the trash
  10. I sure am glad i don,t drink no more, i draw the line at that

    So-so Week

i didn,t shut my chain box a couple of yrs ago, i lost 4 or 5 chains boomers and hyd jack, boy was i p,od, the box was on the right side of the truck, so when i put together this truck i put the box,s on the left side so i can see them out of my mirrors
  14. I have been watching it, i sure wouldn,t want to pass on them roads, wide trailer, going like hell, them Western Stars are not holding up to the roll overs to well,
  15. The old tractors just kind of says why? i have seen a old steel wheeled Fordson sitting on top of a big Rock, a D2 cat on top of a big rock, i have a frame of a 37 John Deere i am going to sit it looking straight up with a flag pole on top, thats on my things to do list
  16. Wait till he gets done paying for that sign, there was a guy who use to hot rod around with a job site truck a few yrs ago on this big road job i was on, It was a R model with Flames on the fenders, one day he did the same trick but the bed ended up in the middle of the road and the truck about 200 yds on the other side of the under pass, he smashed the roof in where it came up under the brigde, that showed him down for awhile
  17. I was up to Bonners last week, they bought a esatate of about 30 or 40 old John Deere 2 cly and what not, i got a jd 820 from them, the pulling semi was sitting there with the hood up, what a nice unit, Bill told me how many V8 blocks they just got, unreal, they are 1st class for sure and have a nice place
  18. Sorry is the only word at a time as this
  19. I put a lot of hrs on a 977 and 973 both, the 973 was a better machine, of course it replaced the 977, i loaded alot of trucks and yes you do get a side board ever now and then, the companies i worked for would pay for replacement, That happens, i got them with trackhoes to, so it all depends on what your loading or if you just had a brain fart, where the pick up was dug around, we bought a 627B that had been on fire, it was at a strip mine outfit in the cut, when we went back to get it, it was up in the air about 30 ft high cut straight down on all four sides, we had to haul a track loader in with a couple of dumps to make a ramp to get it down
  20. Nice looking trucks, that Blue R really reminds me of a R that ran around here for along time
  21. welcome abroad, just jump right in, How is the dump truck business in Indy now, if its like anything like her you are not wearing to much out, again feel free to post some pics, i would but i had to pawn my camera to help buy teeth for the old lady
  22. Poor Kitty, i hope it wasn,t to hot of a day, i have notice around here that groundhogs, racoons and squirrels don,t stay laying around very long, jus think a full size deer is enough for stew for a week,
  23. Its good to see the younger generation learning to keep things running, i give her a lot of credit, i have 4 nephews who i can,t decide which one to will my 1st John Deere too, If they don,t know how to start it they can,t have it, They are all Collage boys but couldn't,t check the oil in a lawn mower, Keep her at it and she will go far
  24. Its a nice looking ride,i stared restoring my B about 4 yrs ago, i took it down to the frame, sometimes i will go like a house a fire and thow a thousand or 2 at it, then i get cover up with outside jobs and the old B will jus sit in the corner collecting dust, the plan was to have it done for some shows this summer but that is looking bad right now
  25. Really a nice looking ride, you did a good job restoring it, may i ask where you got the sun viser from?
