  3. Welcome to the broads,i to use to go to work with my dad, ( he drove lowboy for a fairly good size company ), i would climb up on the big old D9s, One was called Big Ben and the other one was silent sam, i went on working in the shop when i was 14 after school and weekends, i also ran lowboy with my dad then ran the big iron for 25 yrs, i seen alot thu the yrs, i ended my career running a D 11 but i would still like to go back and and run the old D9 (jus not very long
  4. you have a nice looking ride, you must keep your camera close and ready to go, i tried that one time but riding around on a cat 637 scraper, ever tho i had a cab each time i reached for the camera i either hit a hole or have another scraper running after you, i got some good pic,s and some bad, i just had a throw away camera because theres noway you could have a good one getting beat up like that
  5. I know its here again, but i just can,t get into pro ball like i use to, to many over paid people who breaks the law time and time again and always get by with it ( look at the wide receiver for the steelers coming out about dealing drugs when he was young ) and they are always given 2 or 3 chances time after time, boy i want my kids to look up to them, I like Collage Ball much better but its getting to be about as bad, thats just my 2 cents worth
  6. a good friend of mine dad drove down Thur the Carolina's in the 30 and 40,s , hes told me stories about when he went up hills where he had a block that he would put on the throttle and stand outside on the running broad. in the winter he knew about every farmer along the way because he would stay overnight when the roads got bad, couldn't,t you imaging that today,
  7. you are lucky you didn,t get snowed in somewhere this time of yr, Thats quite a ride for this time of yr, i couldn,t run like that no more, i am glad you can tho
  8. yes that is it, sorry for the confusion about which side the compresser was on and the spelling ( it was almost like i cracked the lid on the Jack Daniels Bottle ) but i havn,t, i just seen it and was wondering, boy it has a nice alumium intake on it that i hate to see go to scrape
  9. So sorry its on the left side, i got turned the wrong way
  10. which motor had the air compresser mouted on the right side bolted to like the timing cover, i found a old B today that is a rust bucket flatbed with no hood about the only thing thats any good is the fenders and them fender spacer things, shes headed for the scrape in a few weeks, i was just wondering about what size moter it had
  11. I know 1 thing, its cold, i just walked up on the hill to put more wood in my outdoor boiler , its -12 at 4 am, i told the wife if she gets a kidney next winter around the 1st of Nov we are headed south until spring, After working outside for yrs sitting on a Peace of iron my bones are just done for this crap
  12. i think it has been on there before, i could be wrong but
  13. I have a auto in my rollback and i have had some pretty good loads on back in the boonies, i like it myself, i have ran big off road trucks say 50 to 65 ton rock trucks with allisons that you can just run the crap out of them all day or night long in mud or soft dirt and they just go and go, i never used to like them but the older i get i like the easier way of doing things
  14. I seen a moron running a Cat 988B one day coming down in the coal pit who had the bucket all the way up ( so he could see where he was going so he said ) stand it all the way up where the bucket stuck in the ground, lucky it didn,t go all the way over, he ended up laying against the front glass with a bloodied nose, we used a big track hoe to get it back down so it wouldn,t tear anything else up, he wanted me to push it back with the D-9 i was on before he got catch, i wouldn,t even touch the thing, The guy in the video wasn,t doing a lot but if he would of turned the ass one way or the other it would of been lights out
  15. I Sent Mis Pelosi my opinion, i know i am just a small voice in this county but you can,t complain if you at least don,t let your voice be heard, More of our Tax payers money going to dumb ideals, i wonder who is behind this really. i am sure you can,t scrap a 91 Jeep and get a good down payment for a new one
  16. My reply about the smell comes from 1st hand exp., 2 yrs ago i got 2 John Deere D,s a 37 and a 42, someone had took the rad. cap from 1, After a lot of tinkering i filled her full of water to try to get it running. After awhile it fired up and ran for about 10 minutes when the god awfullest smell started, The water wouldn,t run out of the drain plugs, Because at least a half a dozen rats had crawd down in the bottom of the rad, and died, What a mess i had to pull the head crap every where, everything was plugged full of remains
  17. I don,t think i could get in my driveway with that, i have hauled in some jewels in my lifetime but that wouldn,t fly
  18. Thats right. it depends on your luck ( mine is never good ), a little project can turn soar real quick, oh that smell and the blow by smell,s fishie to me , i wish you the best tho
  19. I just bought a jag of coal, I would like to have a mug like that thu
  20. I myself has gotten more involved in politics than ever, right down to the township trustees, are county commissioners,s are about the most crooked, payed off bunch of lairs you have ever seen, if they get voted out they will make a job for them at the water or sewer dept. for more money than they were making, If you know the right person you have it made, your right we need to get people voted, fired and replaced
  21. you said it, we are so far from what this county started out to be it,s unreal
  22. I think there is a lot of C.E.O,s that needs to be ran off, Mainly there is a thing called Greed that is the down fall of it all ( Did you just see where some guy that worked for Merrel Lynch just worked for 1 month and quite and got a 25 million dollar severance pay of our Bailout money ) its going on everywhere, its not the blue collar worker, its the upper class and and really higher ups that are destroying everything, i was trying to invest some money into something a few weeks ago and finally just gave up, Between the guy who took the 50 billion and the way everything is i will keep it in a jar. You can,t trust no one when it comes to trying to making a investment, I could go on and on, I just hope things get going the right way before long
  23. You are getting good at telling how to post pic,s , i didn,t have a clue , when i first got my computer i had to get my 13 yr old neplew to come out to tell me how to get online, again Thanks for the help
  24. Well i got the pic sent, i swear i can move a mountain of dirt easier
