  1. I'm not sure where but I have seen that truck somewhere out on the road. I remember it because I whistled at it when it blew my doors off.
  2. Man I love the two R models pulling the locamotive. And the green granite with the round head lights. They look a hell of alot better than the new granites
  3. Sounds bad to me. GOOD LUCK and keep us updated when you find out the cause. I have an 01 427 and am always trying to increase my knowledge about my engine and the truck as a whole.
  4. Man where did you get all those fancey gauges, for such an old truck it's beginning to look like something off of star trek. but I like it.
  5. ducky That is gonna be one bad ass Mack truck when you are through. Looking great I'm smiling so hard that it hurts.
  6. So now they are putting Plastic on the rear axles...How stupid is that?
  7. Nice looking R.I hope you don't have to use that shovel often....I used to work at a funeral home years ago and got my share running one.
  8. Well you beat me to it rhasler I was going to mention the buffalo...oh well. The Air Force has ordered several of the Hybrid Granites and the Army has ordered several huge orders of Vision/pinnacle tractors. Maybe an order for the armoured line haul Granites is next.
  9. Michael I don't know the answer to your question but keep checking back I'm sure one of the guys may be able to help.
  10. I think I would have to go KICK SOMEONE IN THE NUTS REALLY REALLY HARD. Man I hate to hear something like this.good luck Thank God you found out before it did any more damage.
  11. Well I reckon that baby is what you would call a LARGE UNIT. Very nice.
  12. cxn613 the answer to your question is this YES the biggest advantage to an all MACK drive line is there is only one vender to deal with if there is a warranty issue or if you simply need parts and or service. If the truck is under warranty Mack's 100% parts and labor warranty is hands down the best. I own a 2001 CX-613 Vision myself and while it has been a very trouble free truck I have had issues with the Eaton rears. If they had been under warranty I would have had to take the truck to an eaton dealer to have the work carried out or at the least go through a hassle before having the work performed. Do your home work before specing the truck..Mack now has rear axles with up to 3.11 rear ratio. that is a very tall ratio so if speed or good fuel milage is an issue and it is for most of us check them out. Not to mention the straight through drive line with near 0 degree drive line angle. I have found that alot of dealers DO NOT stay current on the latest MACK products so like I said do your home work. Good luck.

  17. Otherdog I haven't been on in awhile, I hope you have been busier than we have. I have been getting stuck alot lately and in places we normally have freight. That sucks.Loved the story...well keep the dirty side down and keep on trucking.
  18. I went to my local Mack dealer a few months ago to get an oil change and they went to checking if it had any recall items. They said there were issues with the headlight switchs on some CXs mine wasn't on the list I asked what year models were effected and the guy told me all of the CXUs...volvo wiring harness I said. Cheapening the brand...
  19. Got one more for you that I saw here in Chattanooga. It's 2011 pinnacle axle forward with all Mack drive line.Check out the gold bulldog on the hood. It has the slate grey interior,Mack tranny (10 speed) and Mack rears on Mack air ride. not volvo I looked.
  20. Just my two cents, Nextrans in Birmingham Al.and kentuckyanna Mack are both good shops. I had to have a cam replaced in my vision the first year I had it and they got me squared away. How ever the harmonic balancer came off a week later...now the good news it of coarse had the Mack warranty and Nextrans paid for the tow and all the work. Kentuckyanna Mack performed the work had me in and out in about 4 hours. No matter the shop always look for loose or missing bolts. World wide in chattanooga does ok just ssslllooooowwww.
