  1. Very nice. I love the early Bronco's and the IH Scouts.
  2. I've seen 3 local and my friend in Australia has sent me lots of pics of Signatures with external pistons, LOL I have no idea the cause or how widespread? Of the 3 local I have seen I can say one is a guy that does zero maintenance. One was turned up and the other was stock. Don't know anything about the Australian ones other than they were pulling road trains.
  3. I just hope it doesn't cause all the valve train failures it is causing the 5.7 Hemi and the 5.3 GM engines. I have been seeing an alarming number of new X15 Performance Series with melted pistons and holes in the block, reminiscent of the old Signature 600. I wonder what is going on there? Seems to be mostly the 565 rating.
  4. Very nice tractor and a beautiful property eddeere. I'd like to be playing too if it would ever stop snowing here.
  5. I was just reading that in an email I got. Interesting. I would have never thought I would ever see Daimler and Volvo teaming up. They said production will be in Germany and Canada.
  6. Caught me by surprise. I had never heard of that. Was toilet paper more robust in the old days? I would think today it would all just disintegrate and shred into the oil.
  7. I found this article interesting. Especially the part about the Buda-Lanova using 3 rolls of toilet paper for the engine oil filter. You never changed oil, just the toilet paper. And this engine ran in this truck forever. Imagine running that today in this corona pandemic. Trying to explain to them at the store...but I need that extra roll of toilet paper. I have to do an engine oil change. 8. They work good. Don't even need the body heat when you have one.

    Vibco

Somebody at Vibco must like old Mack's. Here is the sales literature that came with new truck. They have used this B Model logo since I got my first Big Bertha in 2005.
  10. Happy Birthday. Hope you have a great day.
  11. Their reasoning was better visibility for maneuvering on construction sites, like a big haul truck. You could watch your driver side in line with the front fender. But that doesn't do your passenger side any favors, LOL
  12. Those are both sweet! Love Transtar's.
  13. That's a good looking truck!
  14. I have driven a couple that were "slugs" from factory. And a used one that had California emissions. But it only took a guy that knew how to tune them to make them into monsters.
  15. Smart man. I see all the guys getting out early. Why would you want to rust everything?
  16. [Trying living in Australia were most of us go 7 days a week, week in week out, we generally don't mind a day off no matter the reason why] That's how it is for me in the summer mrsmackpaul. Once construction starts it's two weeks on, then your 2 day weekend, then two more weeks. And on your two days off every second weekend you get to wash, grease and service the truck. I have no life in the summer. That's when we have to make out money. That goes until winter, then winter starts off slow. Just 8 hour shifts maybe 2 days a week on snow. Then it goes to double 8 hours shifts on snow sometimes that lasts 3 months. But I get 2 months of holidays this time every spring. So this corona really made no difference to me, other than they were planning an early start this year because there is a LOT of work this year.
  17. Quote: speaking of hookers it must tough to do your thing 6 feet apart ?? went to 5 guys in Florence had to order by phone, pay with credit card over phone YOU REALLY GOTTA WATCH HOW YOU WORD STUFF. Hahahahaha.
  18. So this plant in Texas....is it the same one they had or a new one? My 05 Paystar 5600i was Texas built, but then after that I remember Cat using that plant for their version of the truck. But then did Cat end up with the plant or did they move production? Because when they discontinued the Cat truck I remember reading they retooled that plant to make excavators?
  19. As you have said RoadwayR I do still hear they are going to bring a gasoline and air brake option. Especially now that they see all the school buses and ambulances that have switched back to gas engine now. And also, GMC and International and Workhorse used to have a pretty good share for RV and motorhome chassis. They'd be stupid to ignore that segment now that they have the CV/Silverado's. They are a perfect fit for that, have the biggest dealer network, and many buyers of RV's are familiar and comfortable with GMC/Chev products.
  20. That's gotta be something to see....those jets landing on an aircraft carrier. Just mind blowing what they can do. Hard to imagine it's even possible.
  21. And hopefully killed some of the mosquito and sand fly population, LOL
  22. Well not quite 35 yards Redhorse. The tailgate is slanted and the hoist tunnel, so not a perfect square box. But I bill it out at 35 yards when I bid for the city.
  23. 80,000 pounds gross. Truck is 30865 pounds empty and clean. So I can load 49,000 pounds.
  24. They gotta burn the budget to get their money for next year. That's how they do it up here. Don't maintain the roads and highways all winter, then when winter is over they have to waste everything away to get their budget back. Ever see a white gravel road? That's how it is here. Put 4 inches of salt on bare asphalt. But don't plow sand or salt when it is winter. I had a fight with my township this winter. Even got my government involved. Found out my township gets $500,000 a winter for road maintenance and they have never spent over $50,000.
