  1. Thanks Mark. I didn't remember seeing it mentioned anywhere.
  2. I've often wondered why they never caught on as self loader logging trucks.
  3. Mandrewoid, thought I'd show you this. The very first DMM to arrive in my town when they first came out. After this one, they took over the entire ready mix industry here.
  4. That is wicked cool. Thanks for posting. It's too bad you didn't want to keep it as just a show truck, but I get it. I realize you want to use a truck to tow your trailer. But that mixer is so rare, and cool though.
  5. And that's why the MTO/DOT ignore all these issues. Now that I have retired from trucking I got a job in a mine and I sometimes have to unload transports with the forks on my wheel loader. I recently unloaded a transport that came in with 4 big steel ventilation fan housings that took up whole trailer. The tractor had all bald tires, and the doors held shut with bungee cords. The big housing at rear of trailer had ONE strap on it that was dragging on ground because it sawed through. The middle two had ONE strap each over them. (A lot of good one strap does on a round object) And the front had NO securement at all!!!! I sent pics to my local MP and the head of the MTO (DOT). Know what the repsonse was? "Yes, this is an unfortunate situation." End of conversation. But don't any of you veterans of the road get caught with a marker light out!!!!!!! And the other day one got pulled into the scales (I know inspection officers.) They asked for his license. He pulled out a hand written piece of paper from his boss. They told him that is not a license. He says "boss tell me that good. good good....you go....you drive ....good." No, I'm not a racist. Just bringing reality to light. Anyone that operates like that does not need to be on our highways.
  6. What did this truck have for power? Cat ot Cummins?
  7. They already caused me to retire from trucking. I'm scared to just drive on the road up here now. Can't go anywhere without a highway closure, wreck, or meeting them on your side of the yellow line. But with this new M.E.L.T. law I can't train my kid (with 36 years conviction free class AZ experience), but they can come drive for 6 months at a time on their home license and can't speak or read english road signs?????????????????
  8. Saw this on Truck Paper. Pretty cool looking truck. https://www.truckpaper.com/listings/trucks/for-sale/209272655/1964-mack-b53s
  9. Very cool. Mine is just a play toy. I don't have any snap coupler implements at this point. My Kubota does all the work, but I'd like to start getting some stuff for the Allis. I've been waiting to get to one of the Mecum antique tractor auctions, but covid ruined that. I don't want to go right now and have to deal with all the covid stupidity at the border.
  10. When that guy starts running the Big Mack trucks site......he don't even have to ask, please delete my account! LOL
  11. They should have a new colored dog for the new Swedish drivetrain, LOL
  12. I've always read in my Mack brochures that a gold dog meant pedigreed drivetrain. Yet in all my years in trucking I have seen brand new Mack's with vendor drivetrains with gold dogs and all Mack drivetrains with chrome dogs. So I have no idea, LOL
  13. It was up north here when I was going to get it. But didn't end up getting it. Took it in to a shop to get checked over and the engine needed a rebuild, they wouldn't safety it because they said the frame had rust under the fifth wheel plate, it had all kinds of electrical issues. If I had a lot of money to spend on it, it would have been a good truck. Kinda wish I got it now. The interior was mint. Who was Jack Culbert? Do you know anything about that truck Alex? I know it went back down to Sothern Ontario, but I don't know who bought it. But I was told it wasn't getting scrapped.
  14. Kinda over the top....but all valid points....giving trophies to everyone that participates, now we have a nation full of lazy pussies.
  15. I ran two LTS8000's one with a 6V71 13 speed the other an 8V53 with a 5&4 An LT9000 with an 8V71 318. And a loaded LTL9000 with a 3406 425 Cat. I always liked the Ford's. They had terrible headlight wiring though, LOL
  16. In todays covid news.......a young guy in the maintenance dept at the mine here tested positive for covid. Sent home from work. Well turns out he can return because according to our Public Health Unit he isn't showing symptoms so he's good. So it's okay to test positive....just don't be in the vicinity of him or you will have to quarantine and test negative after 10 days, LOL WHAT A FARCE, LOL Anyway, here's what a smart guy thinks of all this. Enjoy the new Kid rock song.
  17. Awesome trucks Snowman!!!! Love the colors too. I never spent any time in a CLT, but did run an LTL 9000. Loved that truck.
  18. I hear you. Remember a thing called the ice age and the flooding that made Noah build his ark? LOL Kinda like the same thing that is going on now except we are on the warming cycle this time. Like I said, glad I don't have many years left. The current tards that already outnumber us sane people are breeding more soon to be tard children.
  19. Hey, I heard on the news today that the climate change nut jobs did studies that show if they bring back the giant aardvark and giant grazing dinosaurs it would be good for the environment. Well then, the government should just charge us a tax and produce them again, just like how they are going too use carbon tax to change the universe's climate. 😵 Problem solved.
  20. Now that Western Star has turned the 4900 into a Freightliner Columbia and also the 4700........I wonder how long before the 6900XD gets turned into a plastic Freightliner?
  21. They're going to use the same magic that they are going to use to change the world's climate by charging you a tax on cow fats.
  22. Come on now Joey, they don't look that far ahead. What were you thinking?? LOL It just comes out of those outlets in your wall. LOL
  23. Here comes the next hit to the supply chain. Canada to require vaccines for cross-border truck drivers, CTA warns of ‘perfect storm’ Canada will require truck drivers to be vaccinated against Covid-19 before crossing the border as of Jan. 15, building on a similar announcement already made by U.S. regulators. The news comes even as Canada prepares to ease several other travel restrictions. As of Nov. 30, for example, fully vaccinated individuals who leave and re-enter the […] read more
  24. I can see it happening. That's why I got my vaccine against my beliefs. I'm not ready to retire yet and I have a job that is too good to chance losing. I believe it is going to get far stupider yet. And speaking of government agenda's, I had to laugh last night. Had another winter storm with some wind. And as usual the power was out for hours and hours. Just wait until 2030 when we are all supposed to being driving electric vehicles and equipment. They can't keep the power on now!! LOL How will the utilities get out to fix the power grid when they can't charge their trucks and equipment, LOL
  25. Ya, I don't know what's going on with this world, but no point trying to figure it out because I'm just labelled as a conspiracy theorist.......that can make dimes stick to his arm, LOL (see my Nov 8th post.)
