  1. Vlad, I disagree with you. I have a 11r24.5 sitting right next to a 11.00-24 tire in my shop and the 11.00-24 is noticeably larger...
  2. you guys are getting to caught up on HP and not talking about torque. You can get a Cat c10 or c13 to make fairly impressive hp ratings. Even the mack e7 motors, but when it gets down to it, the old saying stands true. There is no replacement fo displacement. Compare them to a 3406, c15 or ISX and they get smoked in the hills.
  3. Dave Rounds out of Concord, Ma runs a Peterbilt that says D. Rounds on the door... Investigation closed.
  4. I have that same unit.... When the warranty expires do an online search for adjusting the fill level so that it fills to the top. It is fantastic.... As far as other appliances go we have had good luck with our Wolf and Subzero appliances. They are good American made units, but you pay a heavy premium for that.
  5. That had to have frozen and cracked. Unless that truck sat upside down with that head sitting in wet leaves for 60 years that wouldn’t have rusted through
  6. Trying to confirm if Mack ac’s originally had a 6 or 12 volt starter/ generator system. I have reason to believe it may have been 12, but I would like to confirm.
  7. Looking for a solid B20. Would prefer a solid running truck. Any leads would be greatly appreciated.
  8. will thicker oil iso 68 to iso 100 be more likely to pump and not leak if the pump is a little worn? being that it is for a show truck, I am not looking for any exceptional performance, just for the body to raise without a load on it...
  9. a couple questions as I am rigging up the same pump on my truck now. What is the thread type on the pump called that you adapted to npt? did you have the pump rebuilt and if so where did you find parts? and finally what oil did you settle on
  10. the 13 speed can only be split on the high side. 18 can be shifted in either. That being said, I only split on the high
  11. if i have a heavy load, i leave it in low on the low side, high if light or empty.
  12. I concur with Paul, There were no DM's and DF's from the 30's and those trucks are in fact from the original B_ series.
  13. It was common up until 2006 on the cv713 granites with 58 rears. I don’t think I have ever seen them on the newer ctp and gu granites except in coal country.
  14. Same radiator core, different top tank.... I haven't gotten a good answer as to why. B-815 and B-87 actually have bigger radiators.
  15. Wow. I wonder what model that truck is.... it looks like a FW front with a chain drive tandem. I have never heard of an fwsw. The truck looks to small to be an Fcsw. It can’t be an fksw with an L cab because those were worm driven.
  16. Your Transmission is fine..... you need to switch to neutral to drop down half a gear or it will grind. Also only shift up under load and it will click in when you let off.
  17. How are you splitting? I flip the switch while my foot is on the gas, then let off and it shifts. If I shift while not under load, it will do what you describe.
  18. that aint 12r24.5, thats 12.00r24. Big boy rubber!!!
