  1. i would say somewhere around 40,000 lbs. and it looks like it has 14-24 rubber on it. with "S" tags on the trailer, we go by tire rating instead of the states 80,000 lb max weight rating. my old 79 DM800 tractor with 60 ton rogers trailer weighed 78,000 empty. but because of the 12-24 tires on the tractor and 14-24 tires on the trailer i was legal for 198,000 lbs. with either the 235 cat excavator or the D8K dozer, i was running down the road around 180,000 lbs.
  2. i am sure it can be done, John Lacey trucking here in New Jersey has 73? i think it is DM800 with a newer 350 electronic engine and 8LL trans swapped in it. truck used to have a V8 in it. when the V8 went he put in the electronic 350
  3. That rig is still in service here in New Jersey. i see it 3-4 times a year. The company specializes in bridge replacement. They use that truck to haul the BIG cranes to the sites.
  4. i have had that happen to me here in joisey with the low boy!! the idjiots see the tractor, but do not see the 8 foot wide X 40 foot long trailer and drive into the side of the trailer.
  5. yea, there was nothing i could not do with that beast. it was in an old "L " series tandem wrecker with a quad box. had a 6 inch straight pipe stack on it, and sounded like a diesel. name on the back of the truck was G.B.M.F. i used it to pick up broke down tractor trailers for the town police. guys used to freak out when they heard a gas wrecker was coming for them..... until they heard/saw me rolling up on site.
  6. international also had a 501 cubic inch six cylinder gas engine. when put in front of a quad box there was nothing they could not do.
  7. pictures, or it never happened!!!

  9. rear mount buzzer or bell button was a standard feature beck when we rode the back step. all our trucks had 2, one on each side. and i can understand the use of dual wipers on an open cab truck for when it rains hard. what is the sense of having wipers on the outside of the window if you can not see out of it because the inside is covered in water?
  10. i wonder what trans it has in it?
  11. about 20 years ago fiore bros out of newark nj did one up on a F350 diesel 4X4 frame.
  12. with only 148K miles on it, that engine is not even broke in yet. my bet is the knock is a sticky injector from sitting.
  13. You traded a Toyota for that??? Man, you saw that crackhead coming from a mile away!!!!
  14. as long as it shuts completely, it will work.
  15. that ain't Shelia. i know Shelia, and her butt is way bigger than that!!
  16. looks much better with the stretched frame
  17. what year truck?
  18. green and white one looks like an international
  19. correct. 3 pounds, or four 12 ounce cans. and the high pressure switch should shut the system down once the high side hits around 350 PSI
  20. no law requiring fender mount spot mirrors. it is just common sense to have them to eliminate blind spots. just like new yawk city trucks have spot mirrors on the front to see in front of the truck in the blind spot directly in front of the radiator. not a law yet, but a smart thing to have so you do not run over someone directly in front of the truck
  21. as bright as she is, you will never have to worry about "loosing" her in a parking lot!!!
  22. my 05 would only throw that code when engine was cold and at idle. once warmed up or revved up it would go out.
  23. my bet is they use them to transport grain and fertilizer instead of paying for trucking.
  24. dang, them is some TALL sideboards on that little puppydog!!!!
  25. doh!!! i just noticed that too. i bet that air filter is for the aftercooler air, it looks like the air intake is under the passenger side fender.
