  2. IDK about prone to quitting, but if it had compromised fuel in it in -10 degree weather, I've seen them puke after trying to get them to run

  6. I once had the axle surgeon here, changed a spindle on a 462 (which turns out you're not supposed to) and he asked if I minded if he took the broken one . Said he could use it cause the threads were good and it didn't have bearing issues. Must be they do stuff like that. I have a like new 46,000 pound housing (seriously, it's not even stained from a carrier) air ride that takes the 6 bolt axles. I'd take a grand for it.

  17. True on all counts. At one point, I took a new EGR sending unit ( the crappy one they sell you ) plugged it in then secured it to the engine harness with a couple zip ties. Never touched it after that. Just left the old one in the exhaust pipe and cut off the wires with a cutoff wheel. And you're correct. it really pays to make sure the cooling system has a good thermostat and everything works so as to eliminate as much condensation as possible. and yes, the two easy bolts on the module for the mass air are enough to hold it 😀
  18. That add for the dump truck. There's lots of pictures with the RW in the background. I couldn't find the Superliner itself on their website. There's lots of interesting trucks at that place, and some look to be in better than "fair" shape.
  19. There it is. Daycab with disc wheels and Neway rear suspension. There's even a white one in the corner there.
  20. I bought 2. One I still have and it has 1300000 miles on most of it. the other one went into the 900000 range with very few problems before I sold it. Great drivability , cubic inch for cubic inch ??? one of the strongest engines Mack ever marketed. Respectable engine brake too.

  23. Been my experience a good strong E7 had trouble with the pump staying on the engine. I don't believe mine were 600 HP, but they were very strong and after being in service a while they always developed leaks in front of the pump. I remember strong E6 4valves with similar issues. Decompress it and bail the fuel to it.... it'll make 600 horse for a little while (lol)
