  1. Says 44 series and oil in the 50+ ones
  2. Is it still too early to comment on the woman burn'n out going backwards upon realizing the worst was about to happen
  3. This theory is primarily advised by the either the guy who gets to pay for, or actually do the repair on a prematurely worn trunion bar. On a truck with a lift axel, even putting that down with the truck unloaded helps better than not jacking.
  4. I thought that thing was to take out and replace with a pipe plug 🤔
  5. Seriously, I have as much business making a rap album as some of these jokers have being in NASCAR. See how fast I'd be bashed or commented on by people. not sorry (yo shout out to my homey JoJo)
  6. The Rawhide interior was one of the nicest available ( in my opinion ) so naturally Volvo did away with it .
  7. I'd like a Mack with something like a CL hood and a Rawhide cab (from @ 2007) Something like that with an X15 option. .....of course I'd like if they still made Superliners with E9s (or what it would be now, like those 732 HP Scania V8s)
  8. IDK a lot about NASCAR. Do know it basically started out as a Southern thing. Guess it can no longer be considered that. Any of you guys wanna buy my rap album ????
  9. Face it , it was the beginning of the end when Dale Earnhardt had the accident that killed him. NASCAR woke (lol) seriously ? WTF happened to everything ?
  10. I see. My avatar is a CL . Looks like that, and I've put them in CHs. 880joe said it's from a Rawhide (could be) But I know from back in the '90s CH and CL had some subtle differences and would go in either one screw for screw. That truck in the picture you posted looks to be almost 20 years newer than a '98 with the flared out sides of the hood.
  11. Are you sure someone didn't put a CL grille in it ? They go right in . That trim around it looks like something Bellmore or one of those aftermarket suppliers.
  12. FROs aren't too hard to find here used for $1000.00 used take out.
  13. That guy that owns the Federal may be some distant relative of Otherdog. He looks a little like him at a glance.
  14. Guy was explaining about the canisters in the front of it. Had exploded view of the inertia starter, history of the truck's purpose. I loved it.
  15. I watched one that went into detail about the Federal. Learned a few things from it.
  16. There's a second video after the demo. Well worth watching also.
  17. We have a starter/generator place here, guy's pretty cool. PM me or something if you want me to inquire or I could send you a number. I know at the least he'd have a suggestion .
  18. That's a Caterpillar thing too. Part of the repair on a failed component in finals or other internal housings where chips or filings may still be hiding after a cleaning. Theory is the paint helps keeps particles trapped.
  19. That paint will help trap any of that stubborn rusty stuff that may try coming off after it's together. It's a good idea. If it's stuck for the most part it'll help unwanted particles from going in the oil.
  20. Awwwwwwe look at that. Looks like an old Norman Rockwell painting. Could be titled " A Threat To Our Democracy " ( pretty much applies to just about anything, kinda like a white toilet )
  21. Some guys don't think much of the FRO models. Still a transmission and has regular transmission issues any are prone to. The range valve is under the top cover on these and sometimes if air was contaminated with water (or oil) they tend not to range shift or leak air. There's not much on one that will interchange with other (older) Fuller models. If you do get involved with it, don't be confused by the shifter. Any Fuller shifter will bolt on, but the end of the lever just goes into the little circular indentation you'll see in the opening on the top cover. It doesn't go into the familiar notched rails the forks are on, you won't even see that in the shifter hole. They have a first gear somewhere around 12.5/1 (and reverse) and are even jumps throughout . Overdrive is a .74 . I'm think'n the sliding clutches are finer which is supposed to make them easier to shift ??? Also. I think the PTO gear is the same as any Fuller. Fuller's one size fits all on the path to automation.
  22. Back before Dynamat and products like that, wood was a good way to help eliminate noise.
  23. Sounds like may be an FRO. It will have the word (METRIC) cast into it if it is, If it is one, they start out around 12 to one and have a fast overgear (.74 I think)
