  1. As said just drain it, back in the day before we were all soft there were no air dryers at all on trucks As part of your daily job as a truck driver was to drain all the air tanks at the end of each shift They used to have taps on them and you left them open over night Leaving low air pressure as Joey suggests has never worked for me as the air doesn't seem to pick up the oil at all but rather leaves it behind You could pull the tank off and put petrol (gas for Yanks) in it and slosh it about, drain and repeat a few times Only a litre or quart I think you blokes call it at the most of petrol each time Apparently even in good old Australia we have air dryers on trucks today, I have never seen one fitted to a truck or otherwise Paul
  2. My experience would tell me the same thing I have had sticking brake pedals before that took me a while to find Kind of embarrassing really but we live and learn Paul
  3. Okay you jokers a little something I have been watching over the last few days Nothing really on the truck, more about the behind the scenes drama But plenty of interesting photos of the movie been made The way they all carried on I think we were lucky to even get a movie Fill in some time for you Joey while your on the mend Paul
  4. Bugger me, take care with that Paul
  5. They were prone to dropping valves amongst other problems, but that was the main issue as far as I'm aware That been said they were a very good motor but not a million mile motor, yes some did but they were the exception The E6 and E7 are million mile motors with out a doubt and probably some of the best motors of their time Paul
  6. I dont think most people in the free world have any idea what goes into keeping it that way Paul
  7. Matt I dunno what to say, except thank you You've certainly had a busy and full life and will have lots memeroies when your lounging about in the retirement home one day Paul
  8. But the Scania V8 was a lot better motor than any Mack V8 Paul
  9. I have one but never have it on unless I'm over 12 feet wide To much rubbish and wankers Anyway I would rather listen to the truck Paul
  10. I dont think I would put a dressing on that at all, not unless it was getting covered in flies This stuff is the best I have used for burns Yeah it's a bit girly but.... Mind you, I have had some doozies of burns but you've out done me by a long way Take care Paul
  11. You mean there's a model isnt ?
  12. Well if your into motor bikes and older stuff at that yiu wanna check out the movie "The Indian Wrecking Crew" Is more of a documentary than a movie, narrared by Jay Leno by the sounds of it I watched it on Tubi, a app you load onto the smart TV and watch things for free Paul
  13. Just poke along and take your time wiring it up, leave the tails all a lot longer than you think you will ever need as it makes life a lot easier and if done right is still very neat Paul
  14. Only down side to the quality of work these blokes is just how amateurish my truck looks compared to theirs You should extremely proud of what you have achived Paul
  15. I am stunned they sold so many trucks into north America They were certainly tough enough for American transport and definitely built for theblong distance work Does anyone know what year they stopped importing them to the State's ? Paul
  16. Yeah apparently I become really loud and crack jokes, probably very inappropriate jokes and generally lead other blokes astray
  17. Im struggling to understand what has happened here, I'm guessing the truck has wandered off the road a bit Guess we will never know Paul
  18. Hmmmmm, bourbon, and yes Jim Beam is my preferred drop, there was cherry liqueur Have never seen Red Stag on the shelf in Australia Used to love Bundaberg rum, oh my that bear really new how to sort me out I always reckoned I was the life of the party and as funny as all get out while on the Rum, however the next morning I get a different vibe from some other less energetic party goes Needless to say I discovered JimBeam and he doesnt seem to have the aftermorning effects as much as rum Oh to be 20 again Paul
  19. Bugger me, you would be hoping for some understanding locals and enforcement people's while you sort that mess out Paul
  20. I reckon 425 would really stretching it It's only a little motor but I really dont know Yes the block probably is the weak point, they used to crack out here with just a standard tune, I guess it would depend on how long it is planned to be driven hard A hour or so maybe okay Paul
  21. Pretty much the same deal on the phone as what you describe Brocky Paul
