  1. looks great to me enjoy the beast Paul
  2. dusted means has dust got in the engine somehow first things first when you very first wind the motor over does any smoke come out the exhaust, this will tell you if you are loosing fuel when you did the compression test did you squirt any oil in each pot to see if the compression changed it will tell you if its the rings or the heads you are loosing compression thru The problem when you are changing heaps of different things at once hoping to fix it you will never know what the problem is was as so much was changed When you had the heads off did you sit them on there side and fill the ports with petrol to make sure they were sealing well ??? I always do the the real basics first as 9 times out of 10 the basics lead me straight to the problem And please dont think Im been a smart ass here by been to simple good luck Paul
  3. Just flogged this from Facebook for your viewing pleasure Big news for Mack fans today - a Mack World First ! The largest, and complete, set of one of every limited edition Mack conventional ever made was assembled in central Queensland. Spanning nearly 30 years, starting with the US-produced Magnum and Freedom Super-Liner models, with the Aussie BiCent, in its rightful place at centre stage, and flanked by a Centennial Trident and topped off by the biggest - a Southern Cross Titan. A very special gathering and awesome lineup ! .
  4. I would have thought closer to or above 400 but if they are all around the same maybe thats what they should be Paul
  5. This cancer thing can be real bastard of thing eat right do right and with any luck it will all end out alright Best of luck with this and will send some positive thoughts your way seeya Paul
  6. yep its a challenge all right but I think its a lot harder to get rid of free loaders off your land out here than it is in the US Never ceases to amaze me that people want for free what I have spent all my life working for and in the grand scheme I dont SFA anyway or they wanna tell me what to do or how I should do it If they really feel that strongly about it by their own farm and do it them selves oh hang on I know they spent there whole life blowing every cent they ever earnt Paul
  7. I reckon thats like the Swiss army knife of trailers I wonder what the tare weight is for these From what I see most container trucks are privately owned out here but I could be wrong Paul
  8. I could say so much here but it won't do any good. Indonesia really are a pack of scum bag bullies that don't pay any attention to what anyone else wants until they a forced to just ask the East Timorese. Have a read of this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1999_East_Timorese_crisis Once again, Australians sorting out bullies from around the world at our own cost. Paul Oh yeah, you may ask, am I proud to be Australian???? Bloody oath I am. Being an Australian is so much more than drinking bucket loads of grog, chasing sheilas and whatever else you make think we do. It's about doing the right thing for all people and standing up for those who can't stand up for themselves. seeya
  9. That poppy display was fantastic. Worth watching just for that. And you buy a Benz, you get a pissan Nissan. You're kidding me. Well, they're gonna be crap then. Paul
  10. Bull shit look at how big Australias coast line is and we do a better job than the US and we have a lot less people to do it with The very problem today is people say everything is to hard or to expensive, and it gives me the jimmy brits let me tell ya , FFS really your borders for country are to costly and hard to protect, really what price do you put on your countries freedom to me my country, we can not put a price on our freedom how could we after what so many have given to make free Doesnt it make a mockery of the US if what the good hard working people work and scrimp and save for to give them selves a better life is taken from them by people who just dont care or have enough respect to enter the right way After all the conditions that the US and Australia have created that we live in and enjoy can be created anywhere around the world in their own countries it takes hard work from people working together and that have respect for each other and their country, it takes people that put their country first not them selves Do any of these jokers immigrating illegally have respect for them selves or their country or do they put their country first no they bloody well dont !!! I reckon it should never be to hard to protect our country And as far as these jokers on Nauru what a pack of ass holes they use their kids and woman as pawns in their plight to try and break the law and force the good honest peoples hand , well stuff em and send them packing in a plane dont even bother landing just fly low and slow and push them out bloody criminals the lot of them You know we used to welcome all once but like all things you abuse the system and we will only take so much After all we still welcome all just come the right way, work hard when you get here contribute to our country as we do and you will welcome Paul
  11. Tim Mack Australia still used the standard R model chassis on everything right up until 07 or 08 maybe even later As far as Volvo bashing goes its all fun and games , the new Mack cant be to bad there are a lot on the road up here I think all new trucks today have a lot more teething problems than ever before as there is so much more in them and the pollution crap doesnt help the matter Paul
  12. good take them they cost us a fortune to look after still reckon it would be easier for the Australian Navy to do some target practice These jokers arent genuine refugees thats why they arent already here because they are dishonest The Australian government has now passed laws that no boat people will be allowed to set foot on Australian soil ever immediate deportation sounds like a plan to me I guess my thoughts on this makes me a racist asshole well Im not but enough is enough and these people see our country as a soft touch and abuse the system and its people so no more Paul
  13. LOL, it's all good as far as I'm concerned. It's not my country. And as I tried to explain to someone smarter than I, the people have spoken, a bit like the Brexit thing, the people have spoken. So to all the cry babies out there, as we would say out here, "take a tea spoon of cement and harden the F--k up". LOL the people have spoken. Paul
  14. I hope you all know what you are doing over there, all I know is "its pretty hard to unscramble a egg" as we say As a young bloke a tradesman of mine when I was doing apprentice ship used to say when describing me "In like a lion and out like a lamb" LOL Learnt a lot from that tradesman one thing he did teach me was its ok to have enthusiasm but think long and hard before going of down that track Paul
  15. Jay Leno is someone who was on late at night out here and I never really took to him. But since I have started watch his youtube channel, he has grown on me quite a bit. Paul
  16. that sounds about right to me , check the basics first as I have already said does it make smoke straight away , takes away all the guess work doing just basic checks
  17. does it have smoke out the exhaust the very instant you first wind it over?? if it does you then know you arent loosing fuel So the only other problem it can be is compression which can be caused by two things that I can think of off the top of my head timing , the injector pump isnt timed correct to the motor and is a bit retarded , you would be surprised how common this appears to be or worn motor parts eg valves needing a valve grind if the motor has Indians you would head towards rings been crook Paul
  18. Love him or hate him, he is on the money with this. Paul
  19. nothing would surprise me in the game of smoke and mirrors of todays politics Paul
  20. And I guess a bit more. If it was your wife, son, daughter or whomever, would you prefer someone to swerve out of the way to help them survive a mistake and save their lives or just go "stuff im in a big truck? I'm in the right and I'm not shifting. Should have thought about killing yourself before you tried to overtake " To me it's a no brainer. I know what I would try and do, and that would appear to be a big difference between the US and Australia. Just saying you may be right, but as I have said, being right isn't always the best option. Paul
  21. Like all things in life, that's your call and as long as your fine with it, that is all that really matters, and as long as I'm happy with my call, that's all that really matters to me. As to me, falling off the perch to save some fruit loop and how my family will feel about it. Well, I won't be around to worry about it. Dunno. Like most things in life, the answers aren't that simple. Paul
  22. Mate I think the little Bedford's are a pretty good little motor and I reckon they would be fine in a Genset but they arent a patch on todays diesel's they are very basic as has been said and gutless as also has been said but in a genset I reckon they would be fine Paul
  23. Whilst I understand what you are saying one thing I have learnt in life is I gotta live with my decisions and a lot of the time it doesn't really matter if I'm wrong or right. What really matters to me is if I could have done something, but as they say "we are all different". Could I live with myself by allowing someone to be killed just because I wasn't gonna put myself off the road to save them?? Dunno. A big call and one I hope I never have to make. Paul
  24. yep you get them everywhere the dash cam has changed the world forever I think Paul
  25. Tell me and just what issue of Vogue was you reading when you discovered this little GEM of information ???????? But gotta agree with what you say they Paul
