Non Mack question.
mrsmackpaul replied to hicrop10's topic in Antique and Classic Mack Trucks General Discussion
I believe the exhaust on the booster is blocked, dunno what the country is like were you live, but parts of Australia have mud wasps that plug up holes everywhere as quick as look at you I have had this happen several times and is a quick fix Paul -
Well all I can say is at least if you fix all the rust you know its right from then on for rust if you look after it I assume all the patch panels can be bought relatively easy over there Paul
-
That's still a bargain in this wide brown land, lets face Ford never sold many F 150s out here 300 6 is okay, just like the 292 Mexican 6 mentioned Australia was mainly a big country as they are eimple reliable and last for ever 400,OOO miles would be a lot, 200,000 is still fine and they ar3 only broken in at 100,000 Paul

Brocky I have only ever been on one organised tour and it was to Africa as I didn't even know how get out of the country let alone into another I felt after that I would in the future just go on my own and play it by ear Dont get me wrong tours are good but I found that places I wouldn't give you a thank you for I was at for a long time and other places I could spend days at the tour only lasted a hour Paul

The movie 'Maximum Overdrive' and old Macks
mrsmackpaul replied to Jamaican Bulldog's topic in Mack on the Silver Screen
There was an Australian movue called "Paperback Hero" staring a much younger Hugh Jackman and a R model Mack He's a road train driver in Australia Movies a chick flick but trucks pretty cool old truck pulling tripples Paul -
Brocky the town your thinking of is Gatton and it has a great Museum, have been a few times Never made it to the Alice Springs reunion, was meant to go last year but Covid got in the way I'm gunna have to do some research into American bacon, I have only heard of bacon and streaky bacon that I cook up with pancakes for breakfast occasionally https://westerntransportmuseum.com/gallery.php?gallery=1 The owners of Western Transport, the Anderson brothers made Mack Australia what it is today They bought unwanted new Macks at first and then once Macks proved their reliability they obtained the dealer ship for all of Eastern Australia They owned the Mack Australia name factory and as a result of using Mack in their fleet, the largest fleet in Australia, they then customized Macks for Australian conditions Thats why at first glance an Australian Mack looks the same but upon closer look it is very different than American trucks Nearly 90% of all components were Australian made in Macks hey day Cyril Anderson was a man of vision who saw opportunities and took them Anyway I could talk all day about this but dont wanna bore everyone Paul

I bought my son one for his 21 st, still jealous but what a gun 5.30 PM Put a horn on a jelly fish that gun Paul
-
I dunno about this turning in our guns, we have gun control but we still have plenty of fire power Apart from my 12 guage and 410 I have my old faithful 303 and for mucking about the 3030, could easily go and buy more but I hardly have time to use what I have Food is good, but I might be a bit biased about this, I have been told our food in Australia and NewZealand is quite bland as we dont generally cook much with herbs and spices Paul
-
Your more than welcome and Im sure you wont be disappointed as Im sure I would be if I make it the US some day Paul
-
A few things first, we are not disarmed as this clown says, we don't carry guns like people appear to in the US I own guns and can carry them legal down the street, all though thats probably not wise as no doubt someone would call the police That been said I have never been stopped searched questioned or any such thing over fire arms and most people I know have plenty of guns so dunno were he is getting his information from there The ABC was raided by the Fed's as they should of been, if they hold information on Australia's military operations in Afghanistan or any other parts of the world that arent allowed to be published for security reasons and refuse to hand it over then I feel they should be raided Just as if they have information about alleged war crimes that our armed forces have allegedly committed but then refuse to hand it over for investigation then I feel the information should be seized for further investigation to prove or disprove these allegations The protests, I have already explained those as best my knowledge Lock downs do appear to work in controlling Covid 19, the evidence appears to speak for itself there Most of this countries wealth doesnt come from WA as stated, this country has huge amount of natural resources in every state Closing the borders is the answer to control Covid 19 but its bit late once it is out of control caused by a few selfish people who dont give a shit So you are classed as a positive case in Australia until you have a negative result or depending on exposure a series of negitive results Common sense to me, old mate at St Kilda been arrested for having a ciggie, well we dont know what led up to that I have been pulled up at night by the cops and questioned and asked for my permit that I didn't have on me and I told them who I was and my permit was up the road and offered if they would like to follow me and I'll get the permit for them, not to worry be on your way, so dunno what was said that led to this arrest as do none of you And the vaccine and the who the whats and the weres You jokers actually need to do spme research into this and may well be surprised at when and were covid started, I know I was Theres some very good explanations about why things have happened the way the have and it sort of blows the conspiracytheories out of the water Anyway best of luck to Yanky land Paul

Correct that is correct Paul

Finally got a B-75
mrsmackpaul replied to dogg rescue's topic in Antique and Classic Mack Trucks General Discussion
WOW, interesting plans Should be a great project truck Paul -
Best chuck up a picture of what your chasing, plenty of older trucks had a little single cylinder compressor that was belt drive and am guessing it wont be a huge drama to sort something out Paul

B-73 Restoration
mrsmackpaul replied to mattb73lt's topic in Antique and Classic Mack Trucks General Discussion
Happy days, must feel great to getting these major things back together Paul -
You need to check the air pressure in the transmission first, once you establish thats correct then move onto other issues Air pressure should be around 60 - 65 psi, any more and you'll keep popping the seal out of the selector Paul

Well I guess I best respond as best and accurate and truthful as I can, I live here in Australia and I have never lived in Nazi Germany so I cant compare But we are still free to do pretty much what ever we need to do in life, in some big cities there are some restrictions that to other people in other parts of the world might seem harsh but the results speak for themselves in controlling the spread of covid 19 While some people from other parts of the world carry on about their rights in Australia things are a bit different, we are a country that doesnt have a right to do this or a right to do that and so on like the US Now if you are an American this will only bolster your arguments about how our rights have been taken away and blah blah blahdy bloody blah .... This is because our country operates different than yours doesnt means its worse, in fact the way our country runs offers us freedoms that hardly any other country including the U.S. dont have So back to covid, I still dont know of anyone that has contracted covid, as soon as there are cases that town city or area is locked down until its contained and once it is contained things very quickly return to a relatively normal life, you must wear a mask in side places like shopping centers and the like The fact that I still dont know of someone that has contracted covid, dunno about seed or Swishman, only they can tell us if they know of someone But as I was saying, I still dont know anyone that has contracted covid in Australia and the people that did answer me here from the US do know of someone and someones close that have tells me we are doing okay There have been protest marches about covid but then again theres always some group protesting about something in Australia, because were allowed to protest and we do, the reason that there have seen large scale arrests at these protests isnt for protesting, rather its for been out and about and potentially spreading covid 19 thru out the community when those cites have been locked down Even when people were asked to stay home due to covid and warned what would happen if they protested people chose to ignore the requests and protest anyway and then they bitch and moan when they get arrested Dunno if thats Nazi Germany or not, I doubt it Could things of been handled better better ? Of course we can always improve But I feel if I take step back and look at the whole picture we arent doing to bad And please dont ever compare Australia to Nazi Germany, and remember while the U.S. sat on their ass during WW1 and WW2 and got fat off selling desperately needed arms and supplies little old Australia and your neighbors in Canada were already over in Europe fighting for a couple of years, so dont evet compare Australia to Nazi Germany, tounge in check or not, IT'S A BLOODY INSULT AND BLOODY WELL RUDE Paul

exhaust mount on cab
mrsmackpaul replied to bruiser's topic in Exterior, Cab, Accessories and Detailing
We just use a bit of rubber and a bracket on the cab, doesn't make a noise and seams to last for ever Paul -
Is something wrong in Australia ?? There's lots wrong but I'm wondering what you mean by this Paul
-
Pay with PayPal and they will refund if it doesn't turn up To be honest I just give a card number these days and have never had a drama Mind you for large amounts of coin PayPal I think is the safest bet Paul
-
So whats the reason behind this style of collar ?? Paul
-
Good luck with it all and keep us posted Paul
-
See thats a lot different than Australia, I dont personally know of anyone that has tested positive to Covid in Australia I only know of one person th ast knows of one person that has tested positive in Australia I do know of people that have tested positive overseas in Europe and have passed away in Europe Paul
-
I know on the round hay baler last year I re raced the rollers and the new bearings turned up and the collar was almost egg shaped on the inside, the bearing had a similar egg shaped shoulder and depending which way the bearing was going to rotate I was meant to rotate the collar the opposite way and lock it to the shaft Well it all got to much for my brain so I just center punched the shaft and loctited them on there I'm not sure when bearing design changed from 2 grub screws to this collar business to hold the bearing in place but to my way of thinking it has made the show a lot more unreliable Great work on the truck How soon to the end of Brockway using their own cab was this truck, I know little about Brockways so have no idea of dates at all Paul

I had heard of such things even in this backwards joint on the other side of the world A study was done and a result was concluded that in the it was found that the CDC could have inflated the figures, anyway not really my problem Do you know of anyone that has contracted Covid 19 ?, not died or hospitalized or anything like that actually know of anyone that has had or presently still has Covid 19 ? Just curious as to what the man on streets actual experience is with Covid 19 in the states Paul
