  2. yea... was wondering the other day where he was at???
  3. the old trucks are of the K.I.S.S rule and developing countires see this. Its sad to see them leave but its better to see them Sell to a usefull owner than to rust away to nothing or get scrapped...I think that Red R700 was on ebay last week?
  4. This is what I do... Reply to topic... Chouse file...( searchl your computer for file ) Attach this file.... Then repete if I want to add more pics
  5. looks like an full gauge package and interior package. My RS700L is a 206" WB and I can get a 2' tool box between the back of the 126 gal tanks and fenders. yours looks right about what mine is sitting at. by the way....What exactly was the freedom Edition? I thought they were like the magnums with the big E9s???. seen many but never asked...
  6. If your trying to do it on the cheap..have some brackets removed from a old junk r model. They should fit the b model axels and mount the cans away from the drums/rims. Or fab up brackets that will hold the cans outward . You will need offset slack adjusters or longer s cams.
  7. Looking good!!!!. Any interior shots?.. specs?...looks like a 200-206" wb ?
  8. THATS GREAT NEWS ! GLAD YOU GUYS WORKED OUT A DEAL....
  9. Dan Llast I checked (2 years ago) you could still order the newer style "R" model under dash unit for around $1200....dont know if that included the condensor, compressor, dryer etc... think it was just for all the incab stuff? Trent
  10. Little under powered and the 10 speed lacks low gearing that is usefull on hills or soft ground. It will pull but not like a 500 HP truck.
  11. Ray made it to my work today and brought me this nice bunk. His superliner was looking good with that stand up sleeper.. thanks again Ray!!!!
  12. there you go... get a Vin off an aussi Rig and order that ECU. then plug into your USA truck. Would be intresting to see if that worked????

  16. dog needs some Red eyes!
  17. sounds intresting. Never heard of Amumibunk... Restright, alblebody,Mercury and double eagle are the only sleepers i have seen on R models...
  18. About time someone tells the real story. Well done..
  19. Best way to start a cold diesel is to hold the throttel down untill it comes to life then keep it just above idle RPM untill all holes are fireing. then let it idle at about 900 RPM untill the temp gauge moves. 31 deg is not horrible but Any time a engine is stone cold out in the winter the oil is alot thicker and the tolorences are alot tighter. not a great combo. thats why your oil press is always higher on cold start and you should not over rev it. However many diesles such as Gen sets are known to fire up stone cold and then go right to work at 2100 RPM! A block heater will make it fire off like it was warm out but the oil is still fairly thick. thats where pan heaters help. If you just need to start it in the cold. you can set up a torpedo heater with a tarp to keep most of the heat under the hood. truck should fire in about an hr depending on the wind. can also just heat up the metal intake pipe so the air that enters the Cyl is warm. Use WD40 if you can. its not as harsh as starting fluid. Also with older trucks a Non turbo Diesel will fire a little more easy than a turbo diesel of the same age. the other issue is the batterys. If they are cold and the engine is cold its alot harder for the starter to crank. . When My truck is plugged in at night I also have the batt charger on the timer so that both are ready to go in the morning. thats my .02 Trent
  20. Next time im in the bosses office...............
  21. The RD has single square head lights. But none of the R models had them. I have seen a pic of a Rs/RL with the dual suare lights. not sure if it was a factory deal or aftermarket. trent
  22. Rob I have used the same guy as Brad mentioned .He calabrated the pump on the Mack sled truck we pull with. We have been able to get that truck to 2nd place most events. Trent
  23. yea was thinking I bring out tools and such for you. then you could fly in on Sat. leave Sunday morning and I would be not to far behind you. Other wise you would be sitting waiting for me all week. But if you want to chance it on your way back I can likely get you the free ride out there..your call...I run about 75-80 MPH thru NV UT and WY. If you left before me and later had a problem I would be less than a few hrs behind you come monday morning.... There are scales pretty much at the entrance and exit of every state along the route.the ones you come across are mostly port of entry and they will pull you in if you dont have a pre pass. many are open all the time... Just thinking here about the East Bound locations of the scales on I80 NV has none that are permanent that I can recall UT has one in about 5 miles each side of the state lines. WY has one just as you enter the state and somewhere in the middle. NB has a scale about 10 miles in, north platt and between lincoln and Omaha IA has one just west of desmoines and another just before walcott IL as soon as you cross into IL its the first exit. Thats all I can think of but I only make that trip a few times each year.check the web for exact locations...
  24. Will be a fun project for the summer. may not have it mounted for a while but I can atleast re skin it and wait untill Im ready to install it.
