  1. Not that it matters but just wondering. The Ford/International thing was announced as a JV with the creation of a new entity, "Bluediamond". I think all of the door jam plates referred to Bluediamond- At least that is how I remember. I don't think this new GM/Navistar deal created a "new entity"- or did it? How about it KSC?
  2. Well that explains that decision-probably still a couple of Bow ties hanging on walls😎. And for sure on the "IH" badges-built in the Navistar plant! Is there any commonality with say a 3500 GM? I remember in the Bluediamond days. I recorded the spring hangar numbers on a 4400 that was at the International dealer and went down the street to Ford dealer-exact same numbers on a 750!
  3. Now that is one big Ansul extinguisher!😎 Must have been a lot of flammables going through that town.
  4. Hah-was shocked to see the steering wheel where it was! But a beauty in any case.
  5. What GVW and curious as to reason a CV vs a Dodge or Ford? I was talking to a guy the other day with a new Chevy-not sure what rating but it had a very big utility body on it-open bed but tool compartments both sides- guy is a mechanical/piping contractor. I asked why this vs Ford or Dodge.."tilt hood?". Answer.."it was the cheapest by a long shot". I'm sure that will end once they sell enough of them. Plenty of dealers have inventory but I have not seen many on road-either badge.
  6. Well when I saw that my only concern is what area of truck is most susceptible to accident damage? I would say front end and in particular right front. I did see Roadway's positive view that the body guys are less likely to mess with it vs the typical rear of cab chasiss location but I think it makes most sense in close proximity to fuel fill. I'm sure soneone will say- "yeah but then someone is going to put diesel in it" but given the color of the cap, that should not be a real issue unless someone has a booze or drug issue🤪
  7. I think you are correct in that the only significant change is air brakes will now be available on gas 650/750. Two dealers in my area each have a 7.3 powered 650-one still a chassis and the other set up with a 5-7 yd dump. I thought I had posted pix of the "underhood" but maybe that was on another site
  8. And the "grader" is constructed of????
  9. These are pix I took at a show. Still looks "crowded" but a V-8 is a V-8. and for sure better than a PS in an F-550. Ford and Dodge have to get with it and come up with a tilt hood. Even the Cummins in a Dodge looks crowded.
  10. Well good news! They announced today a new add campaign called "Built for America". I had that immediate thought about showing Ford fire trucks and PI's in some adds. Hopefully will see some 650/750's too-if not FD, municipal trucks.....maybe cleaning up riot debris is Seattle?😎
  11. we can only wish-another "American" truck!
  12. Wow...So someone must have fallen on their sword😎
  13. Demo or your co bought some? Is it not the same cab as the HD Silverado? And visibility is good? hood looks......"bulbous"?? Or is seating position higher than 3500?
  14. Its a Super Duty so its an N-850 or 950-and in 63 the big SD V-8's had not be ruined by emissions yet.
  15. So where are they- introduced a year ago and I have yet to see any on dealer lots. Are they NOT in production?
  16. Nice-again just wish they had squared that hood. Its a vocational truck-not an "aero" linehauler!
  17. Same note- my wife said.."I wish I was 30 years younger". I said...."No- you wish it was 30 years ago"
  18. I can't believe GM would not have done their share of "due diligence" before getting in bed with this guy. They might not be out any cash but I can't imagine it would be smart to embarrass Mary B with some half baked scheme-or should I say.."alleged" half baked scheme.
  19. Yeah but cinder blocks have square corners! Wasn't the real killer the dumped tool boxes? Either way hope Cheby didn't spend too much on those ads. If they did you can't prove it by the sales numbers. And with all the "loominum" 150's on the road how many complaints do we hear? As for the telemetrics, all the more reason to be showing REAL commercial trucks-and in all classes. But I hear you on your company experience. I've been away from that stuff for so long but I guess their push is "why spend on aftermarket when we have it included"??
  20. Agree 100% on the F-600. And at 22,000lbs vs 19,500 for 550, that translates into another 300 gallons of water. All of a sudden it is a much more capable "first responder" in the same size package. In particular for MV accident response.
  21. Thx Kevin And I did see that truck in the news. Ford is on such a "Ford Proud" kick you would think they would take advantage with some "Legacy" shots like this....."Still on duty after all these years"
  22. I can't believe it- they actually screwed up and showed an early 80's F-600/700? But they made up for that mistake by showing a 150 being loaded by a skid steer with gravel. Heaven forebid that they at least show a 350 one ton dump being loaded. Might convey the wrong message that Ford builds stuff beyond Lariats!
  23. They didn't want to spring for power steering😎
  24. Well I was on Sumitomo's web site yesterday and in Commercial tire I searched and no 11R-24's came up -regardless of service/position. Went back just now and ST-508's came up with 11r-24! ????
