  1. KW and Peterbilt are not as well liked as they make people believe. A local guy here took delivery of 20 new Pete's and 10 new Volvo's. The paccars are an electrical nightmare. Dash lights with a mind of their own, radios working one day and not the next, leaking windshields, cheap interior pieces and on and on. The best part is the exhaust.........they have daul exhaust, but only one pipe is connected, the driver side pipes are capped off under the cab! This was a die hard paccar guy and he is very dissatisfied.
  2. No. They should've. The superliner 2 was actually a set forward CL. Technically the CL was a set back superliner to be truthful.
  3. Is this letting the fox in the henhouse????
  4. That is awesome. My grandpa used to be a Packard dealer in Nebraska. Very classy and tough vehicles.
  5. Love my Titan too! Except Volvo has absolutely no support for them.

  7. Direct drive is a lot more efficient with high rear ends than a overdrive with low rear ends.
  8. If any you guys are interested in a non emissions truck I have a 2003 2500 ext cab long box Duramax for sale. 6spd manual and 4wd. 15,000 miles. Was my dad's.
  9. I'm all for it. If I can catch a nap headed somewhere, so be it.
  10. Check box on driver side firewall under the hood for corrosion. The steer tire likes to throw a lot of crap into it.
  11. Idling is the very worst thing you can do to your after treatment system.
  12. .......I heard it went overseas. Just kidding
  13. Probably a crown broke off a piston, possibly bent pushrods, bent valves, I've even seen timing gears crack from over reving. Also saw a clutch explode from that too.
  14. Hope you're spending the time with your family and all is well.
  15. That's a good question......I believe the 2003 CV was still the Rd frame but not sure if it has a different crossmember under the cab.
  16. Sell the truck and work for Walmart. You'll be money ahead.
  17. You want the motor as low and far back as you can for weight distribution, handling and so on. But I prefer user friendly.
  18. Holy crap...... where's the motor???
  19. My friend is a big nuts for Ames Construction. They buy 3/4 Chevy's with 6.0 gas burners. He said the cost per mile is lower than anything else. They keep them for 250,000 to 300,000 miles then auction them off. They still bring anywhere from $2000-$5000 with those miles. They tried diesels but the cpm was to high.
  20. I'll take a new GM or Ford from the last 20 years any day over an import. A GM pickup is a 300,000 mile truck these days.
  21. Up next.......VW buys 20% of Ford stock.
