  1. After taking some time to get used to the new layout, it has grown on me. Looks sharp, seems faster. I like my antique trucks, but cant stand antiquated websites. Thanks for the upgrade
  2. The dealer was helpful to a point, but they can't find the old bulletin that had a chart to help determine the required ratio. They suggested a similar truck but speced with 11r22.5, and using that vin. I was at the parts counter for awhile, and there was some mumbleing about the age of the truck....
  3. I have a RW613 with 4.42 rears and a t2090 trans. Truck came with 24.5 rubber and we switched over to 11r22.5 . The speedo drive is worn out and not working, and I want to get the right ratio so the speedometer runs true. The "adapter" as the parts breakdown calls it, has a ratio of 1.132 from the factory. Can anybody help me with the correct ratio? Or if anybody has a serial number for a truck with the same specs but factory 11r22.5 tires that would work too. Thanks for any help
  4. gotcha, we hauled in there for Vulcan quite a bit. That's a pretty big project.
  5. The red RB is a CLK truck, Kirschoffers daughter runs the CLK trucks. You were up in my neck of the woods again...
  6. I know, I dont send them out to haul concrete for other contractors. Just broken ashpalt and dirt with debris in it. I am pretty rough on my own stuff, and have put some big concrete in there. So far so good. I really like the top rub rail being on an angle, i can use it to cut wire and debris with the bucket without any problems. The trailers are hardox 450, and it seems pretty tough. EPak is new to the chicago market, and they seem to have a good product.
  7. I went with the E-Pak steel trailer when i was looking. It is pretty light for steel, I put it on material hauling 80% of the time. Then it has a 2 way gate that is really easy to switch. I do a fair amount of demo, so the trucks can still haul demo debris and concrete from me. With the E-Pak and the Pinnacle, we can squeeze 22.5 tons on if you run 73,000. The selling point with E-Pak was the quick delivery time, dealt with the manufacturer, and had some say in the design. My one complaint is that the dump angle is not steep enough, but they are working with me to fix that. I think a taller ram will make it fine.
  8. Any chance you could post a couple shots of the interior of the sleeper? Thats a sharp looking ride, good luck with it!
  9. There is one running around by me. I am not sure if it is a WINK, but I can ask if I see the driver. A company that has some really light material haulers runs it, and they run the longer dumps and then the 3rd axle on the tractor. It has the blue plastic tub. In IL, I think they can gross 80k on that set up
  10. Everybody is scrambling to move snow equipment today! It is always nice to get a break from gravel. If you ever need a truck or two to haul snow for your guy in Lake County, let me know. Would be happy to do it. What is Ernies asking for the 359? My buddy has a really clean one too.
  11. So far so well. Fuel economy isn't as great as the CH or the RW, but the drivers really seem to like them. I have driven them a little bit, I really like the Mdrive. Takes a little getting used to when off road. I know you can manually downshift, but I wish there was a big simple button that would only use 1st or 2nd off road. If you don't think to lock into a low gear, the thing wants to up shift and then falls on its face. Otherwise they have been great. One or two sensor issues, but all was warranties.
  12. What were you doing in this neck of the woods? Had one running out of Vulcan Grayslake yesterday
  13. How many miles are on the KTSI truck? They had a pete for sale with 1,100,000 on it. Those guys cover some ground.
  14. Are those RBs old Ludesky trucks? They had 80 of those at one point
  15. Some photos I have had on my phone and never posted. I saw the superliner at Prairie, and it looked pretty clean. The 6 wheeler I have seen a few times on the northshore. Vulcan DM in Elk Grove and a R model I saw at Vulcan Grayslake
  16. my thoughts too. As usual, my money situation is never right when these things present themselves
  17. Saw this on IronPlanet, it sold for $8750. Looks like it is in good shape, but the description says it didn't start. The reason why it wouldn't start was not given. Item #586001 The computer wont let me add the link for some reason.... Looks pretty loaded too, air window, air ride passenger seat, full gauges and I really how the spot lights look. Anybody on here buy it or know anything about it? Thanks
  18. In conversations with guys that run over the road, it seems like they are constantly crapped on. Weeks away from home, left without loads, waiting to unload, and then the pay blows to boot. Seems as though the issues are pretty obvious, that if you want guys to be in a truck, at work, make it worth their while. Big corporations are driven by profits and earnings, but they seem to forget that the same thing motivates the guy driving the truck too. Money talks.
  19. Good traditional values include judging others for who they choose to marry? Close-mindedness is a good traditional value? I raise my 2 kids to treat everybody as they wish to be treated, and to be open mineded and willing to try to understand other peoples motivations and backgrounds. They have been to the dirt track, drag races, and can help grease trucks and ride dirt bikes. They also have been to pride parade and key west and have never had a bad thing to say about. Kids are open minded and kind, and I would like to keep them that way. Your idea of being raised "right" and mine are very different. But you are free to do as you wish, just as two men or two women that love each other should be free to do so.
  20. These f**king guys guys... The large contractors that let these guys work for them are to blame. That's what they should get for $92 an hour, -12% brokers fee. Some of the stuff on the road around here is scary.
  21. The blue and white R passed me like I was standing still the other mornng. Thats a good looking truck
  22. My '89 had no power, ran up to about 1750 RPM slowly, and no boost. As he said, check the throttle linkage. The splines on the shaft going into the injector pump are gone on mine. Put the linkage back in the correct spot, ran a 1/4" bolt through it, and whammo... Mechanic wanted to send the pump out and that would have been $4,000
