  1. Is this a KT Cummins? It sure looks like a big a** motor!http://www.commercialtrucktrader.com/find/listing/1982-MACK-SUPERLINER-109311520
  2. I think it has been parked for some time. My buddy talked to the guy, he says the cab is newer and the truck has a 6 speed. The motor is a ETCZB1005A. A breakdown of mack v-8's was posted in another thread, it doesn't seem like there are many of those motors made. On a different note, nice catch of the groot truck, that is hard to do while driving! I used to live about a mile from where you took that.
  3. I didn't know that. Was there a reason guys didn't order them with brakes? A weight saving thing?
  4. I really want the trailer. A buddy is interested in the truck. Little to old and long for me...
  5. I like the lights under the headlight. Where did you get those from?? And you can't go wrong with shiny red paint, that truck looks good!
  6. A friends scania. This truck gets used daily, it is a pretty good truck. The only thing that stinks is the 62 mph top speed. The air clutch is a little hard to get used to, I only drive it once in a blue moon. Plus, I can never figure out what the switches do, they are very odd looking.
  7. And I noticed this truck about a year ago. Apparently the owned passed away. The guy that owns the storage yard has acquired the truck. He is looking to sell it. He wants $15,000. I didn't talk to him, a friend of mine did. He said it is an '80, v-8 with camelback. I took these pics on Saturday, and didn't want to get to close without permission. It looked like a solid mount cab. No idea of trans or rears, the guy doesn't know much about the truck. He said it isn't equipped with front brakes. Is that possible?? Anybody know anything about this truck?
  8. I was at the dump and saw a Herkys R today. Their trucks are pretty plain, but here it is. And I know the G&D truck has been posted before, but I was messing with my phone heading into the dump and managed to get a picture.
  9. I went by Northern Illinios mack today, and I the superliner I asked about earlier was parked out back. If I am not mistaken, this is the ex-Doetsch truck that was the sister to the Alan Smith truck that burned up. There was also a nice looking service truck, I have always really liked r model service truck. The Tanzillo pictures are cool, I hadn't seen the Pete since he got it. It really turned out nicely.
  10. The Pete is a really sharp truck. I always heard P.J.s RD referred to as the "Million Dollar R Model" because of how much work he put into it. None of the old guys could believe he put so much into that truck. I have always thought his stuff was really nice. I used to work around the corner from Tanzillos yard at Doetsch, so I used to see all their stuff around a lot.
  11. Was that one of Pats old trucks? Or did P.J. pick it up somewhere else?
  12. I just looked through your photo bucket. You have some really sharp trucks. I have seen some of them around, but never realized how big your fleet is. Nice stuff.
  13. They keep the 359 really clean. I have a picture of it from when I moved their 350, but I will have to post that in the "Brand X" thread! Rossi still has quite a few older macks, don't they?
  14. I know this is an R model thread, but.... Petersen Excavating has a B they use for a water truck. Today was the first time it was started since last fall. It started right up.
  15. I learned to drive a truck in the Alan Smith truck. Doetsch traded two superliners in for an ex Sanken CL. Northern illinios mack kept the other tractor to pull an equipment trailer for awhile.
  16. The tractor Northern Illinios Towing had was the sister truck to the Alan Smith superliner in the "superliner" thread. I was wondering what happened to that truck. Do they still have a superliner wrecker? That thing pulled out an old d-8 I had planted. I always thought that thing was cool!
  17. I picked this up a couple of weeks ago. 350, 9 spd, air ride. It needs a few little things, the wet lines are kind of rigged up. And the drivers door needs some attention. But I hope to have it on the road soon. The brown paint is pretty hard to look at, but it may have to stay for a bit.
