We have a new group now starting to build again Keep it civil choose to disagree and debate with calm demeaner or say nothing! All will be good! In my mind If I had a something to say to people I would PM them to clarify Rather than post it for everyone to see rather stir up shit! Unfortunately, some have their opinion and nobody else's opinion counts! otherwise it becomes like Elons Twitter page A shit show for all to see!   2. yup think that's kind of rare for the n14 the small cam engines would do that on a regular basis! they when to bigcam then big cam2 and the issue faded ! Didn't work on these much!

  5. All this stuff has electronics just the way it is these days ! The tweco this replaces had digital volt gauge that was all over hells half acres would Not come back to the same set voltage EVER! There inlies why I replaced it! if you put some down force on the voltage knob it would sort of hold its set! tried putting a push down strap on the knob was only slightly better! Done now hopefully! no more fighting!
  6. From what I have observed Correct me if I'm wrong ! the temps are monitored by the ECU if there were an issue it would show on the dash!
  7. Yes ! Turbo replacement aint cheap! check first! I am no guru on this however ! do you have ptt? Check the fuel pressure first and Check 7th injector spray and EGR Flow! ! The injector spray is important too! Turbo lack of a air creates soot! Soot plugs the grid ! Not enough boost can't create the heat needed to burn the soot! Viscous circle! Check and clean also Diff pressure sensor on the venturie tube the egr flow can create more soot that can clog the turbo sleeve causing it not to stroke properly! another viscous circle! Start at the front work to the back if your in doubt! the engine will surge with either or condition From what I have witnessed! If you don't check /repair the shit in front of the turbo and replace the turbo you will be back at it in short order! Just sayin!

  10. This in the case of the engines we saw was a random issue! call it a bad part/ luck of the draw! We also saw some that had valve recession meaning the valves sink into the head screwing up the valve set! and burning valves! Bad batch of valves we suspect! others may have other observations! I am no guru on these! Have seen some of the weaknesses is all! Just sayin!

  12. The acid wash our local cement guys use here just shit kicks the paint! Not sure what it Is! They are not the greatest at washing the shit off! The suspension has stalactites hanging of it come inspection time ! Hated doing inspections on these ! we have two company's in the area one big corporate dude ! and the independent Guess whos trucks were Clean? the cooperate drivers get out and slam the door and go home ! The independent guys Wash the trucks off at nite! Look after shit !Did inspections for both company's Hated to see the corporates come in the drive way!
  13. The stuff we was selling was called alumibright ! 5 gallon or 4 liter jugs ! to make the wheels, tankers and wood chip wagons shine !
  14. Does the engine have the right rocker assembly for dyntard ! if the dynatard cam is installed you can use the dynatard rocker assembly's to complete the process ! Just installing rockers is half of the equation U can also get jake assembly's to fit this engine!
  15. Well got 035 tips today ! Welds great ! Very happy not to be fighting with fluctuating voltages and the auto set makes the setting easier! perfect

  19. Well In my mind miller is doing the classic fixing on the fly ! We've all seen this done even in the Mack days! The m100 gun had some issues they updated it and didn't tell the dealers! Just speculating! will see Monday As they are close Sunday as they should be ! People deserve at least one day off!

  21. Well I blew the budget and bought me a new welder for my retirement ! I had a tweco 3 in one welder and was having issue with the voltage control switch ! so After an endless search to find a switch on line and at the dealers and Lack of info from the esab baphoons (must be subsidiary Of Volvo corp) Nothing!No switch! So I got pissed off and went down to the local KMS store here and bought A new Miller 211 hopefully will have better luck with this machine ! Not very happy about having to replace this welder it ain't very old however I cheaped out when I bought the Tweco I thought at that I don't need nothing special for just pottering on my saw mill and tractor etc. for an 800 dollar difference in price at the time! I found out different! We had esab at work and they were never to much of an issue! hopefully this will be a case of get what you pay for! wish me luck! Hopefully not another Volvo like purchase! 😅

  23. Seem to have to bottom the clutch to get it to crank and it’s hit and miss!
