  2. Good question! not sure Real hard to call stuff on a deleted engine! your 6 count there is likley the delete doing those two! the temp is the only thing that Could upset the apple cart there!

  4. Tough to beat 3406E for simplicity Cat wise! second gen series 60 also! Might fine power plant! Fairly simple drive by wire stuff! Yup N14 too! Only 450 + taxed the bottom end on thous!

  7. Don't hold back on info ! How it started happening what you were doing when it happened it all helps! Codes Bla bla bla ! DON"T use any more liquid on the intake! A fuel problem is different than an electrical problem ! A desel will almost always start on vapor ! Just won't run for long!

  10. Not much info bro ! if it has a fuel primer try pumping that till its hard ! I suggest not dumping any kind fuel in the intake ! check the plastic return lines to the head for where and looseness!
  11. Yup nice install so far ! May have an issue with the fan shroud there the fan hub mounts quite a bit lower in the frame than a V8! Minor hicup for a guy with you skills I imagine! Got lots of Balls / patients/ and a big bag of money I hope! 😅

  15. Try running some Standyne or reputable substitute thru if you can make it run again! check the filters for water etc!

  17. I don't think the lift pump is you issue ! A sticking rack is more due to scored plungers etc. Is your fuel pump AMBAC or Bosch !
  18. New fuel transfer pump required maybe! these have been known to fail! As with everything Volvo IT AINT CHEAP!
  19. I made this here 237 comment earlier with out thinking ! The steering box on the B model May interfere with the oil filters some one else here may have a comment or have done a transplant that may enlighten us! I have seen a 285 trans planted in a B but don't know how extensive the alterations were! Obviously lots knowing how a tip turbine was used!
  20. Till you got it pulled down you don't know till you have it pulled down! That said if you can find a good runner 237 It should fit in there! with the added bonus of spin on oil filters etc.! It is after all a toy!
  21. Knowing this is a toy! Also knowing how hard a B model is to work on! I wouldn't want to be doing the job twice! My opinion is to up root all 6 ! Clean up the pistons and access Put new rings on the good pistons replace the worst pistons! Hone the liners out just a clean up passes get them reasonable! ,put bearings if necessary , pull the valves inspect and clean them up ! Reassemble! No point in making a silk purse out of a sow's ear! and blowing a big bag of money unless your the power ball lottery winner! Just sayin!
  22. Bro I am not a Guru at this stuff Observations only ! However Yes it can How ever ! check the afor mentioned first before changing parts ! Clean the venturi tube and sensor If you haven't already ! if you got PTT do a egr valve test while the hose is off the egr cooler to confirm its operating and the cooler is not clogged! Turbos aren't cheap ! If the dif sensor cant sense flow the puter thinks it needs to open the EGR valve!
