  1. Guess its a fact then! 🤣🙄
  2. Governor and turbo are the main factors I believe! the torque curve is huge on a maxidyne to enable the use of a trans with less gearing ! econodyne will fall on its face below 1500 the maxydyne will hold on to 1100 rpm and lower!
  3. Just weld the nut on the suspect stud bud ! Just my opinion !
  4. That funny screw replaced a spring and ball that came originally!just clean everything up and replace everything as best you can! Blow everything out as well with compressed air!
  5. Don’t know sorry!
  6. Check your hood boot! If it isn’t sealed it will suck engine compartment air!
  7. The 200 series is defiantly built better in some respects than 92 / 93 the housings don't change cause there was no need to change ! The housings worked good for the most part ! The gears on certain ratios didn't stand up well to the increasing horse power of the day ! Hence the change to the 200 series ! Which did stand up quite a bit better ! 3:87 - 4:14- 4:42 Ratio behind 350 horse power and up don't stand up well! 4:64 would last a bit better BUT! something had to be done!
  8. that whole 1038 piece comes off ! comes with the new seal I believe!
  9. The one you had was fine I I used to stuff a pointy bar down there and open them up! At the folded part!
  10. Good find Bro Thanks for posting your fix ! The oddest stuff happens at times and when a guy is grasping at straws its always good to give just one more straw to grab for! It can be the simplest things! Make sure when getting an new muffler that they give you A muffler specked for a single stacked truck! The a dual stack muffler can also be restrictive When in installed on a single stack installation! All mufflers are not created Equal ! Don't ask me how I know! Fred 🙂
  11. A pictures worth a thousand words! 😁
  12. Your doing it right! just make sure when you pull the feeler out after the jam nut is tight the feeler is snug but moves freely with very little resistance !
  13. there is a little cover on the the bottom of the fly wheel housing remove it turn the engine till you see valve set 1/6 centered in the hole if the number one valve is tight its likley on the wrong stoke make one more rev of the crank both valves should be loose proceed set to 16 intake 24 exhaust!
  14. So check all the turbo boots and charge air boots for splits . also the air compressor hoses to and from the inlet on the lower manifold and at the compressor!
  15. Also if it’s an mr check the hat on the inlet of the air cleaner if it collapses on the intake it will momentarily shut down till the turbo stops sucking!
  16. WHERE ARE YOU GETTING THE SENSORS?
  17. 200 to 300 ohms new ones are usually 300 ohms just sayin! ?????? you got 160! ?????? check the new sensor and the air gap after !
  18. extra long 7/16 bolt can solve that issue!
  19. Torch and a heat gun ! I have put these on cold ! just sayin!
  20. Ya it ain’t rocket science it just needs a little space ! Same on the aux shaft!the E6 was a simple robust engine except for the lifters! I like it’s bolt on cam gear ! Wish they had kept that concept! I was kinda pissed when they changed to the press on set up! Knowing all the trouble they had with lifters why change? That said they were evolving the block toward or for the eteck at that time!
  21. Yup back it out when installed turn it in till it touches and back it out half to one turn! Snug the jam nut and your done!
  22. Good job ! Break in ! Warm it and Just drive it! All will be good!
