  1. check to make sure the yoke bolt is tight and yup pull the lid and check piston nut! for tightness!
  2. yup how ever them springs can break as pointed out !worth a look see!
  3. The truth is hard to take sometimes Joe!😇
  4. Yup Joey is a legend here ! This place has good info if you hang out long enough stuff rub's off on you! 😁
  5. Do you still have the same turbo on there as you had when you first posted? are you still (Checking or resetting ) the turbo sweep as we discussed? again if the program gets used to a certain sweep on start up it will save it each time it starts! if the vanes get stiff (carboned up) the turbo sweep will change!
  6. Try leaving it in gear and pulling the range shift before you move the stick!
  7. All good get volts up and she will likley sputter to a start ! Get solid fuel to All six she likley light up clean! Been my experience if you get at least two banging it will go! Allot easier on the starter with more than two!
  8. We used to do a ton of exhaust gaskets! Meant disassemble of all injection lines ! We would place bets on who could make it run on the first few cranks ! The only way to do this is to get fuel running at the injection lines at the head!I was the only guy in the shop that would bleed this way cause someone along the line told these people to never bleed at the head! Where the starter out instead I guess! Anyway that’s how to make them start and run on all six 4 turn or less! In this case my way or the highway!😡
  9. Getting the air out can be painful thus doing the injection line at the head ! Get solid fuel to at least three cylinders! No foam
  10. These can be a bastard to get started are you cracking the lines at the head? Not at the pumps! If you’re doing it at the pumps you’ll be there for ever trying! Just sayin!
  11. Two simple things Check the throttle lever is going to its full stroke check the stop for full on! If you have a boost leak it should be laying down a fare amount of gray / black smoke travelling along the road! air filter clean ?
  12. NO! Do not replace the econovance sol that is not the issue! try unplugging the main fuel pump plug the big round one do this a half dozen times and see if this changes your situation. the econovance sol only controls the Timing! nothing to do with starting other than the smoke on startup! the issue is (usually ) inside the fuel pump and should be repaired by a fuel shop! How ever the plug is a possibility! There are other places to think about as well (but by your description) it is in the fuel pump! On the early models (93 being the first year )there was a valve on the front of the fuel pump that valve can be disabled it has one wire going to it if it is there! take the wire off and tape it up and gut the valve! these sometimes failed and the valve was a safety precaution that later was deleted!
  13. Search out this post if you’re interested in regaining power and fuel mileage! A little pricey but ……. if you want to spend money on a good fix ! The main issue with the ai engine is you have to keep it wound out to make any decent power it can’t breathe! Mack AI460 AI427 AMI low torque low horsepower poor fuel mileage granite , dead dog , remediation
  14. He is elderly! 😅 and that's OK .We just got a new vehicle recently (a month ago) ! I'm still having issues pushin buttons to change direction! and am still reaching for the key on the steering column ! Might never get use to this shit! The thing even thinks it knows when you need a coffee break puts a tea cup on the screen!😡
  15. Its not worth buying a pop tester unless you know what your looking for ! it is worth pulling the injectors and either rebuilding them or replace them with exchange! The oil could be evidence that the top oring is failing in the injector ! Just my opinion!
  16. politically correct term ( elderly ) My wokeness escaped me when I posted bro sorry! It was early I wasn't awake! 😁 for give me I'm usually more polite !
  17. Just wanted to mention that a member just did a head gasket re/re a month back here! My self I would just clean er up and take a chance! It’s old! The fire ring groves can be an issue if the shop ain’t set up for it! As mentioned! just sayin
  18. Curious if it has def on it! Or egr for that matter! If it’s for Canada probably! We have time to stop the war to regen! don’t we? 😂
  19. It’s unfortunate ! As the emissions got tighter they chipped away at the horsepower ! Calling a 350 a 460 was just BS we actually had a truck dynoed an alleged 460 dynoed out at just over 350 and they wouldn’t do anything about it! Lost that customer! Just political crap !
  20. Good call pro ! If you’re going to check this situation my advice is to replace that elephant tube in the process as they are a common fail item!
  21. we once accidentally put an mp8 boost sensor in an mp10 it turned that thing into an animal it would pull its heart out! It was so scary we got the right sensor for it in case it blew it self up!
  22. I often thought of deeking the sensor by regulating it to seeing only 33 psi I never had the opportunity to do it however it was a thought! If the computer could only see 33 psi it would maybe let the engine have more fuel! It’s only a thought! Something I always wanted to try! A simple adjustable regulator could be used would just have to adapt it!
  23. Could also be the egr cooler !
  24. try greasing the cams and see if the situation changes ! dust is quite likely 1
