  1. Make sure your white wire is a good ground! the other two will be as stated or backwards! Remember everything is made in china Taiwan or Mexico !
  2. yes
  3. yes
  4. Have you checked the drain back tee at the end of the pump! Also the jumper between the heads ! Quite common for these return lines to cause start issues! Any of these plastic line can cause issues! Hate to see you throw money at an un needed pump!
  5. pull the line off the service side and see if there is air coming out of the chamber with the brakes released! check both sides just cause its newer don't rule it out shit happens to new stuff too!
  6. Yup cool Mackpro didn't think it was possible to copy the data file you are a true guru ! Soon as any of these hit 33 psi boost they would derate I hated these engines !
  7. If its a spring brake chamber with brakes released you should have air coming out the bottom of the relay an or the foot valve with the brakes released! the piggy back shown in the pic looks fairly new how old is the other side?
  8. Got to ask! these are a rare fail ! Why are you replacing it?
  9. Lack of Fuel in my opinion as well ! l Check all the simple stuff first ! Fuel tank vent lines and hoses to the pump ! Also if the smoke limiter has a hole in the diaphragm it will be low on juice! if you can remove the line to the limiter and blow or suck on it if it wont hold a vacuum or you can blow thru it has a hole in it!
  10. This is why we do pdi inspections and incudes greasing and checking for missing or loose bolts ! Once ran across an mr with a bolt missing on the rh steering arm for the tie rod ! Also a loose steering box missing spacers! Simple oversightโ€™s the could be disastrous for every one involved! Like wheels falling of jets not a great scenario!
  11. Also check the stop to Mack sure itโ€™s going all the way on!
  12. Pays to run lubricity a recently bought some arch oil additive perked up my old backhoe quite a bit burns cleaner running smoother!
  13. I have a a friend I have known for years in the pump business here ! He is the only guy I trust when it comes to any fuel pump! He built my 6.9 pump hes done many bosch pumps for us at the Mack shop here He is a little more price wise but you know what your getting ! He doesn't cut corners ! Worth paying a few bucks more for a pump sometimes! Pays to do some research!
  14. All good there all good ole cheap parts ! when I got into this business q brakes were just starting to take. Over! From pin brakes mid 70s ! Donโ€™t know how many p brakeโ€™s we converted to q but it was allot quite the in ovation at the time! Just same old same old now! Iโ€™m. Interested to see how disc brakes are going to do or if we will return to the past due to the expense!
  15. Yup there is the issue of fruehuaf brakes as well! Picture tells it all! ๐Ÿ‘
  16. Could we get a picture of the hub side? Are they double nut bud wheels? If itโ€™s fruehauf some older stuff the studs hold the drums on!
  17. Have someone check the front pins for seizure quite common on the Volvo trash suspension!
  18. Amen ! That said a straight pipe ford sounds better to me tha the straight pipe dodge! I also hate harleys I like peace and quiet in my old age !๐Ÿ˜‚ been married to long I guess! ๐Ÿ˜‚
  19. Yup extreme cleaning while doing anything around the pump!you can upset the apple cart real quick!
  20. Worth a try I suppose! What did you use to turn the top section? You would have to be careful to clean out all contaminants!
  21. Do you have a diesel repair shop in your area? If so you could have the top piece lapped as a patch up! Try snuging it first!
  22. Nope itโ€™s metal on metal ! You could try putting a 11/4 wrench to it and try tightening abit! The top and bottom are two lapped peices! The oring is ment to seal out dirt!
  23. Nope for me a v8 a locamotive or a radial plane engine does the trick!
