  1. JoeH did you get this nailed down yet? We’re the set with switches turned off when they looked at the settings?
  2. yup Joey! I think he just pulled a pic off the internet for a clear picture! just guessing!
  3. Yup it is! 350 I bet! Every E9 has one of those on it! How ever Are you sure it isn't a cable issue!?
  4. Sorry bro I’m going to be of no help on this not familiar with that wiring on these at all! My former suggestion is all I have to offer! If the wires are there! They will have a jumper set the idle and disconnect! We’re the switches turn off when they looked at the settings?will the engine ramp up with the switches?
  5. 😡 so maybe check and see if the clutch switch wiring is under the dash and is just tied up and jumped over!
  6. Sorry I wasn't More clear at the beginning of the post about the switch on off scenario thing is all it takes is vibration and a loose plug or wire to trigger this situation after years of operation!
  7. All good bro! You bet lots of knowledge here we all learn stuff here I never stop picking up stuff!
  8. Dealer should in theory with a vin give you some info if you can capture there interest !
  9. Good question I wasn’t there ! However if the on off fast idle switch gets in advertently turned on off three times it will go to default idle which you now have! If set idle with switches is turned on in the settings!sometimes that setting gets missed at pdi time people don’t think auto most of the time I know I don’t!They can run for years till something glitches ! Loose connection or something happens!vibration even! You set the idle and The last step in the sequence with switches is to step on the clutch! You don’t have one !bud!
  10. Yes you have to have the shop set the idle as you have no clutch to make it set on your own! Seen this happen before! Just have them re set the idle! Has to be done with the pro link or laptop! Also make sure to tell them to turn off set idle with switches! If you have the lap top with Mack program do it yourself! key thing thing is turn off set idle with switches!
  11. If you don't mind having the husks laying around that's the way to go! For logging and dump work the E9 will live long for you if you don't over do the fuel ! We sold many of these to haul logs and dumps here they stood up better doing this than long hauling ! If you started trying to use 500 HP for long periods at a time was when the issues showed up!
  12. on the MP 8 we had an adapter to to plug into the cooler on the front side hose we would test with shop air in counter direction of flow anytime we removed that dam pipe ! Got burned too many times at the end of the day with a whistling gasket ! It is affectionately known as the asshole pipe here! In theory the EGR valve is closed so you can easily put air to it turbo on or off! on certain models the egr cooler can be changed with out removing the turbo by removing the front engine mount! ( A tip )( if you don't have the set up Pro has mentioned there! ) If your not sure where your leak is Could be exhaust or turbo gaskets start the engine get the sound happening and run a garden hose over all the joints the sound will change as you pass over the leak! Also Note you Can use that method on any of these egr eating engines once used this method on a Maxforce for what sounded like a bad turbo turned out to be exhaust gaskets! Just sayin!
  13. Fuel dilution is a possibility! Oil level???
  14. Yup the head is definitely Anker material !( theory ) the chunk got between the springs stopped the valve from going all the way down and results are what you have! hope fully the piston is ok and you can get away with just a head !
  15. NOT SURE BUT that does looked cracked my hopes are dashed! Liners come in standard 2 thou over 10 thou over ect! on second glance with the pic blown up its a trickle of something!😅
  16. Trent you sure that’s not a 315?
  17. Yup and so you should!👍
  18. Yup he had pics I seen em
  19. Doubt it’s a cracked liner ! Make sure the fire ring grooves are clean and not too shuffled!
  20. Yup spread the word! Thanks to Barry and Watts for making it happen!
  21. this one is above my pay grade. ! That said the Ambac pump was the most common Maxidyne pump rare to see a robby spec to maxi!
