  1. I check the clutch every time I open the door it's a habit I like to no what I'm stepping into to drive !
  2. True enough! How ever will they listen? But can't hurt to try I guess! Having said that my experience with the design is the same as that of 1965 in just about every case they work well enough over the road vocational not so much ! only ever seen one or two reach life expectancy! 1/2 way down the slot is normally when they cease to work ! My experience! Bitch at the eaton Rep and he shrugs we've been working on that! That was 10 years ago ( there abouts) nothing has changed it still happens lots! However we have had the odd easy pedal freeze up as of late maybe its a sign of the times !
  3. No point in talking to them simply put in an easy pedal and move on never had good luck with them
  4. Copy the reverse plumbing its the same! think of the diverting valve as an air operated on off switch!
  5. Where does the money come from to pay these fines you ask? Bought any Mack Volvo parts lately? You're paying now!
  6. There are lots of after market guys check around the net? that's the criminal Volvo pricing for a made in tiwan hose.
  7. Is the stick moving If it is poping out range the shift fork is loose or the range pack is worn or the yoke bolt could be loose!
  8. Try the ecu we had this happen to a customer truck!
  9. Nope all electric! no aneroid!
  10. Nope still metal! What you likely got is a teflon seal no wiper good seal but hard to install
  11. Yup good find cheap fixes are good
  12. What your seeing Could be a boost sensor However another issue that can pop up is the VGT sticking when warm we have had this happen and it is very hard to nail down with out ( Just popping) a different turbo on that's a foreman's term for doing a semi difficult job to find out it was the wrong thing to do!
  13. Good find bro it's a pain when unrelated crap happens. After a simple wash down down right annoying just a imagine spending hundreds of dollars towing it a bunch of hours shop time for a guy to chase that down giving the info we had to work with! Totally heading the wrong direction for hours then to fine that. good find bud!
  14. Good job now back to work!😁
  15. So having said that, one would think that your OEM would be going to bat for you as a dealer to achieve the best pricing on parts that they could possibly get for you so you could compete with the likes of KW IHC, Freightliner and supply AT A REASONABLE Cost Training - Have an roving trainer that travels about to areas of the country DEALER SUPPORT and the specialty tools to work on these over tecked units. In the case of the essential tools, most are over-priced for what they are, and some are down right useless tech tool was half-baked when it started and still is 3/4 baked Comparatively speaking to Insite which seems to be well thought thru and progressive. And I'm not saying Cummins is the greatest thing since sliced bread either! I could go on and on ! The only person who stand to make a buck here is THE Big V. They make a buck off every level and do nothing in return except build captive parts that they over charge for! KScarbel is correct in A lot of his statements here! So to provide service to survive, you need good leadership. Not provided ! This says it all! A brand is only as good as the people who lead it. Volvo remains clueless about the US market, one key reason being they refuse to listen to the Mack dealer body, and view them as equals. And, of the the Mack brand management, not a single person has a background in the truck industry. It shows, with a very unhappy dealer network and stagnant sales.
  16. It sure sounds like cups or bad injector cumbustion in the fuel gallery.
  17. Humm checked the bat connections ?
  18. What he said! I 'm school and in my opinion M drive I shift is for big fleets who can AFFORD to put a clutch in one! Most of these trucks come programmed to start out in third empty / bobtail ! We have had some that have worn out just over the warranty period people Are stuck with buying a clutch from MACK OR Volvo,They ain't ,cheap and you can't go to Napa To get one , Entrapment is all these auto trans are For the average O/O not a smart Buy! When you replace a clutch the flywheel is likly to be worn beyond tolerances WHICH are very tight! YET another Big Bag of money to throw away after you get your DPF replaced yada yada!If you insist on a newer ride At the very least stick with a standard trans ! one less headache ,Yes M drive is nice to drive But there is a Bigger picture here! Remember this is the new era Of the 5 yr truck! Not your 1999 20 year truck KScarbel has the thing to do posted To bad they dont do macks but they got the right Idea and trucks for O/Ops You just won't be able to haul to california OHWELL!
  19. It Dont take much!
  20. Yup get on it ! it should have a warrenty period and time is ticking! Was it a long block or short block? long you should be good to go! short not so much Ive seen cracked rocker shafts cause the jake to come on how ever if they are your shafts and it is the problem you pay! Let us know how this turns out!
  21. one would think you would see some smoke if it was fueling and the jake was opening a valve at the same time? My only thought would be an intake valve hanging up!
  22. Try the half turn you'll like it
  23. DPF Restricting flo won't help the situation also the turbo could be stuck it will not throw a code for a stuck turbo either How ever you ve changed it so injectors seems possible! Clean the dpf see if it helps you got to do it anyway Your not going backwards!
  24. Remove the 6 or 4 bolt cover at the top back loosen the rear 5/16 nut 1 half turn tighten the front nut the same amount!
