  1. What horse power are these units!? you could be having problems with fuel pressure or the timing advance if these a electric engines!
  2. OR install and after market gauge and plumb in directly to the intake manifold ! Yup that will work gauge will be hose not sensor! You likly have a boost leak/ lack of air most times causes poor fuel milage and low power

  4. Like suggested you should have 30- 36 psi if every thing is tight *( no boost leake ) ect try running in cruise and see if this changes your values at all you may have a throttle pedal issue
  5. yes! you would not notice a miss it would just be doggy with low fuel pressure I Check the fuel pressure change out the fuel filters It can be the pedal how ever not often ( to check that use the cruise buttons!) The other hold out can be the torque limit switch on the trans the wires may be rubbed and shorted together or a faulty switch this will cut the boost in Half so the ECU will not see anything as a problem! If you have no boost gauge GET one! it will tell you allot!

Use a good quality silcone sealant on the valley plates and power tower a smidge around the fuel pump mounting flange oring use a gasket on the P/s pump glued on with gasket glue Use anaerobic sealant to put the compressor on (lot of weight on that one ) and if you used a front cover gasket take it back off and get rid of the gasket they tended to leak at the bottom from the engine mount flexing the cover use silicone or anaerobic on that as well and reset the cam thrust screw!
  12. I Have always set the linkage / cable (Clutch brake first) first 1/2 inch off the floor for the brake as this does not change much when setting the winder to get the gap ! Works for me !

  14. You Pretty much got to dig in and pull the pan and the heads off possible broken rings or bad piston by what you discribe in my opinion!
  15. Hey pro What was old is new again maxidyne revisited ! Didnt hurt the V8 Didnt hurt the 285! ? Should be no problem for the MP 8 ! These seem to have a decent bottom end ;the heads are a little in question at times! That tiny little window of rpm is why there pushing I shift / MDrive focus on milage! they take yet more control from the driver and let the computer do the thinking! Won't need the driver soon! Its coming!

  17. Yup ! Take Note ! This is an example of WHY You pay the shop rates you do! The crap you see in the pic is the stuff The BIG V (SELLs ) to the dealers to work on the stuff the dealer Sells to you ( and it aint cheap ) . Got to have it to have IT to a have it to have a half good chance of repairing issues ,That unit is just one of many needed to repair these new units ( NO books) Your best chance of self repair Is Guys like Mackpro Who Care about what we are doing for our customers and like to see em succeed!
  18. KS Does the Scania V8 have an Engine brake function (Dynatard) they don't mention it! That in my opinion was one of the down falls of the v 8 lack of engine braking!

  20. Google prolink 9000 A prolink 9000 with the vmac 1 cartridge will do what you want to do plus setting parameters and look at switch status Bla bla! Good unit The otc hd code reader will also read and clear codes I have a Mac tools HD code reader works well for it ( SAME as OTC) You can't program just read and clear! The V Mack software is a half decent but I think you got to buy it thru mack IF They still offer it!

  23. Pull the inlet and outlet and look for damage!
  24. Don't forget the swedes changed the good mack part system to there own useless system! WORLD numbering system!
