  10. Yes thats right for a fuel pump check but for checking pressure thats got a know problem only god knows how many i have seen that would hold that pressure but as soon as you load it and start to consume more fuel per hour a restriction or sucking air would drop the pressure.I think all manufactors of engine only give you the stactic pressure reading. Not long ago one of the guys that i work with had a power problem on his nack and it had pressure sitting here in the shop but i checked it under load and it would go to nothen.i found a big night crawling bug stuck in the primary fuel filter inlet fitting.
  11. The fuel pressure needs checked under a load.

  16. One of them came in the shop a few years back with engine problems.I get the job and found it had a 8.3 cummins in it.Not long before that some one had replace the gears in the front.Maybe a cam and i found the cam gear had broken because some on had heated it til they was big blue spots on it.They could not get cam out for the front cab mount was restricting the cam from going forward enough to clear the mount.I just raised the front of the engine and the cam cam out.
  17. I worked at mack in the mid 60s and the gold engine was a big thing here because of the power band being different. In about 67 cummins built a engine trying to be equal to the gold engine but could not.I think it was a NHC270HT.Freightliner pushed it some.
  18. You have not enough room for the E9 engine in a CH600.Also a truck with two million miles on it should be retired for ever unless your like me and enjoy working on trucks and buying parts.
  19. I am wrong that engine came out in 1966.

  24. That is a NH220 and its color would be gold. The color has changed to a cummins beige.
  25. I cant tell if all four wheel was jack up or not but if you run one side jacked up and other side on the ground then your running thru your diff gears and you cant do that very long or you can damage the side washers in the diff nest.We can only guess whats going on with a 10 second video.
