  1. Threaded ends vs clamped ends.
  2. All bevel-seat connections for everything. Is that a preference or an option? My guess would have been tri-clamp sanitary fittings. The reason I'm asking is because I work with process piping and I'm "old school"...... I find the bevel-seats connect much easier and afford more flexibilty.
  3. Nice little bunch of Fords found on the web. Click it to blow it up.
  4. How about a pic of that long-hood Chevy MH90 right next to it?
  5. Yes Mark, FCI is still in business. They do a lot of haz-waste and solid waste tank work.
  6. Sometimes wicked lies under the skin. This has gotta be a handful to drive, aluminum-head 427 hooked to a TH400. Local body shop near me built this up in a clean Chevette resto. Dummy pipe in the back..... real 3" exhaust tucked up real close underneath.
  7. A better shot of that Emeryville. Taken at ATHS Springfield in the pouring rain.
  8. Restored "shorthorn" from Michigan found on the web. I think that the other 90" BBC truck is the one with the spoke wheels from Chrysler's Proving Grounds.
  9. 90 day haz-waste pickup at my job. They used the day-cab starcar a while back. This time they brought the sleeper cab. Most of the waste we generate is alcohol-based (flavors & fragrances) and is used as a fuel at incineration plants.
  10. Sharp little lineup found on the web.
  11. 1965 Olds Jetstar I. 425 370 hp with 4 on-the-floor. Very few full-size cars made with the 4 speed option.
  12. Sweet fleet from back in the day!
  13. '49 FW from the Mahan Collection. Biiiig truck when you see it up close. Love the "bicycle" fenders!
  14. http://www.imcdb.org/ The Mack section is #103. Have fun!
  15. I remember that thread. It was very informative. I added a pic of a V12 Autocar dump truck IIRC.
  16. Pre-1968....... no side markers. It looks like a beast of a truck.
  17. More Bighorns? The Pete looks out of place. Found this shot on Facebook.
  18. Thanks for the link. Nice shots of old working Macks. The weird thing is that at the bottom of the thread, that board has a "glenlunberg" too. Same mannerisms and hyperlink. Coincidence?
  19. 927 CI = Super 250. Non-turbo factory rated at 270 hp. I remember watching some footage on the Manchester Autocars in one of the Lindsay Crawford videos a few years back.
  20. I see this "high-mount" every year at Macungie and I am mesmerized each time I see it. Outstanding truck! Go ahead, click on it.....enjoy!
  21. Some modellers take realism to the next level. I had to do a double take on this one.
  22. Found this dusty row of Bighorns on the internet. Gross Lumber in Ohio was running a bunch of them at one time.
  23. I blame it on Mad Max! I grew up around Detroit muscle all my life and decided to branch out to see what was on the other side of the pond. I found Aussie muscle to be very similar to American cars in design and performance. Body shells and styling cues and most times good old V8 power. Some of the later Holdens even had polycast honeycomb rims. I'm amazed by the cars that were produced from 66-73.... Monaro and Torano, Ford Falcon GT, and Valiant Chargers with that wacky slant six. I don't get to see these cars in real life so the computer age brings them closer to me.
