  1. That's a friggen sweet rig. Every year Convoy was on the TV. It was a special thing. I watched it every time on my black and white in my bedroom. First time I had seen it in color I was like wow, even better. Love that movie.
  2. No need for a name tag. I'll be the one with the Mack hat. Look for me.
  3. Usually they buy cheap junk. This thing would bring big money over there. Let's hope its not going to an abused fleet truck.
  4. That's kind of a rare beast. It would be a shame to swap that out. By the way, you are local to me. I lived in Middletown for a bunch of years.
  5. It's like a jeep, just drive with the doors off. Seriously I have a feeling who ever stole the doors were taking them for something else. I doubt it was a random theft. Any surveillance cameras at the hotel?
  6. That would make a great rollback
  7. Insurance appraisals do not reflect the real selling market. I get this all the time when people bring their cars into my shop to sell. I get " it was appraised for $35,000 so that's what I want". Then I tell them it's only goin to realistically sell for $18,500 then they get mad. I can appreciate Andy's truck but too busy for my tastes.
  8. Paul's also gives lifetime warrantys as well
  9. That would be Larson Ford. That's before my time down there. I've been working in Lakewood since 2000.
  10. Awesome find. I am starting to get a fond appreciation for single axle B dump trucks. It would be nice to have for around the house jobs like mulch. Yeah, that's the excuse to tell my wife, mulch. Good luck with it
  11. Super Chrome in Asbury Park NJ or Paul's Chrome Plating in Pittsburgh
  12. Anyone coming on Sat from Central NJ? We can meet up and drive out in a group.
  13. Dig that R wrecker.
  14. The NJ one and sleeper ads were expired. Of course those were the ones I wanted to look at too.
  15. Trees, stopping out of control vehicles since 1895.
  16. That's nice and stubby. I dig it. I don't know F's at all but my gut says offer $2,500-3,000 if it runs well and the cab is relatively solid and tires fair.
  17. If sliding off the road was the only choice you handled it well. No damage to you, the equipment or the load. Just nerves and a tow bill.
  18. When's the GMC General shirts coming out?
  19. The misses and I will be driving out and back the same day on Saturday. Cross our fingers, the General will be showing for its debut.
  20. I've thought about putting the General up once I get it done to buy something like this. I would get a lot more use from this thing over the General. I also researched converting the GMC to a 30' rollback but at the cost of $20k + it would be cheaper buying a truck that's already a rollback. All a fantasy right now... Unless I hit the Powerball tonight.
  21. I called the shop. They have cooper RM185 steer tires for $450 + $50 for mount and balance each. Woof! Just as I expected. I think I need to up my sales this month so I can get some tires. I'd rather go new for the fronts than used just for the safety reasons.
  22. Found this on fleebay. Not a bad looking truck and the money seems right. 1,400 miles away though. I guess if I had the money I could drive out and throw the car on the deck and drive it back. If I had the money... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1992-Mack-Roll-Back-Truck-21ft-Implement-Bed-Custom-Paint-Excellent-Condition-/130988699532?ViewItem=&ssPageName=ADME:B:WNA:US:3160&item=130988699532&forcev4exp=true
  23. Nice place to retire for a Mack
  24. I highly doubt it. They pretty much killed all dirt bikes with 2 strokes because of the environment. I don't think any manufacturer is going to invest millions into a new product that might not meet the approval of the EPA, especially in Cali.
