  1. I'm thinking... I can put my race car on rollers, attach them to the trailer tires and when I come to a hill.....just BOOST'r up a bit LOL!! Be the fastest B Model ever!
  2. I guess if you swing a hammer for a living, then you want as light as weight as possible. I know talking with the guy that did my roof, he talks about about these "special" hammers and how expensive they are. Guess this is one of them?
  3. Luckily I don't buy much of anything, so it is a moot point to me. I agree, sometimes it is not good for a buyer to suddenly have more people interested but you can't just say that BMT is the fault of that. Way too many other places that it can be put to advertise and be seen. I get the aggrevation, but like mentioned, there are plenty of people that wait to the last second anyway so as to not arouse suspicion that they are interested. It's a game and if you don't like the outcome there are only two options. Quit or accept it.
  4. Way back in early days here at work, we used to only have a snap binder for our 1ton stakebed. Had a super trucker work for us for a short while. While using a pipe to unlatch it, instead of holding onto the back side of the pipe, he just pushed up on the pipe and it went airborne. Like 20+ feet and luckily I ducked, but another fellow employee didn't get out of the way in time and he got WHACKED!! Down for the count. Super trucker didn't even realize what he had done. Needless to say he didn't drive for us long. Snap binders are a PITA...twisting the chain til it got tight enough to latch good. We dont deal with big coils, but none the less you want to get it tight enough.
  5. Remember..........if the ladies don't find ya handsome, they should at least find ya handy.
  6. ^^ Ya, what Bob said! ya, that too...........
  7. Might need to contact your local DMV and see if they can research previous owner. Put in for lost title? That way you might get a line on last registered owner and see if you can get them to sign it over legally.
  8. I actually have a Wilkie button. I got it from a fellow maybe 30 yr odd ago. Bought the size of a 1/2 dollar, red/white/blue with a stick pin on the back.
  9. I'm thinking, after doing some research on my air starter........there were some that were constant engaged pinion gears. Thus you could actually hit it and not hurt the ring gear or starter.
  10. Isn't that the hood you took borrowed to fix your super when you got that deer?
  11. How about a cross ram 413? That would be COOL!
  12. I am Mack green with envy. Very nice.
  13. That looks like quite the workhorse.
  14. I'm thinking Kevin Black from ATHS was there when the guy fired it up for the first time? Seems I recall him posting the vid on ATHS forums years ago. Maybe he just found it and posted it? Kinda fuzzy with the details. Looks like a pretty decent truck. Would love to have it, but no place to park it and the old V8 would be a kink if anything happen to it when I travel alot.
  15. When I took my test about 12 yrs ago the reverse serpentine was the easiest part. Keep the trailer tires in the right line and the rest just follows.
  16. I'm thinking those "almost new Michelins" might be a bit rotted by now by the looks of the moss on everything.
  17. I have a new check valve inline to suspension.
  18. If I make it out, I'll be staying in the Battlestar Motel(my trailer). Like Mike did in South Bend, I'll tell them it's a 1987 trailer instead of 1997 and park it in the show field instead of the back forty like at South Bend. The field was not mowed recent and with the rain my pants and boots were always wet. Ugh.
  19. Looks like a decent start. Way far from "Mint".
  20. LOL!!! Ya, it is a free for all for the most part. BUT...if you have a problem, there are LOTS of good guys that will go out of there way to help. BUT...if you screw up....."weak are killed and eaten" comes into play. Plenty of internet Rambo jerkoffs, but if you keep clear of them, it is a good place.
  21. Ah ya, the Bullet. Pull no punches kinda place.
  22. I know when I rebuilt the LF spring, that isolator was a biotch to get back in. Well, not horribly bad, but took a couple tries to get it squared and settle in the right spot. I know they must have been replaced sometime in the past as it was still very nice condition. I did notice with the new spring and new rear bushing that it rides nicer since the bushing actually takes grease and probably moves now. I shoulda fixed it 12 yrs ago, but kept putting it off. Glad i finally took the time, as it wasn't that bad of a job.
  23. My IE won't quote at home. I use Chrome at work and it works fine. Can't attach pics at home either. I have Chrome at home now, but don't always use it.
  24. I think a 300 Mack is about the biggest I've seen without lots of work to make fit.
  25. You mentioned it was up high. Keep an eye on the PTO covers also. I had one that rotted through and developed a small drip. Had to drain it and replace it with new cover.
