  1. Check with Winrock Truck Parts in Oliver Springs TN they may be able to help you with programming your new ecm
  2. Would the standard vin that dealer is wanting not going to be a mismatch also? Is this truck a glider originally if not then why would you be able to use a random vin and not the original the new ecm shouldn't have a vin# assigned to it
  3. Why couldn't they use your vin# instead of some random vin#. Seems to me like if they could program it off another vin they could do it off of the original vin

  7. No it's a rocker switch that looks like all the other switches
  8. On my CH's I believe the override switch is for engine shutdown. It overrides for a short amount of time to get you off the road
  9. Joey your price is plenty fair and I bet the one's that said your price was to high will be back after they pay more somewhere else or get poor quality work for less
  10. It's also annoying to pay a mechanic for a job that wasn't done right because you weren't there standing over his shoulder making sure it done right

  13. Stock I'm guessing would be around 28 pounds
  14. We're only talking 100hp max gain here not 9500 as in your example. I doubt you will see a noticeable difference in engine lifespan been plenty of 460 mack run a million miles
  15. If you have 355/380 program now it would work. I don't believe that combo will work on strait 350 or 400.
  16. Get you some 460 injectors a 631gc5173 turbo and you should see an improvement. I wouldn't worry about changing cam timing till it was necessary to be in the engine then change it to 427 460 timing
  17. It's hard to convenience some people that the 355/380 program will run better than 427 or 460
  18. With your truck being a 2000 it's most likely a pre ccrs engine and would require cam key change to go to the 427 file. If it was me I would just do turbo and injectors and leave the 355/380 program in it they have the same amount of torque 1550lbs. I myself like the 355/380 better over the 427

  21. I believe the cabs were the same clear back into the early 70s
  22. What surprises me is the truck that the duals took out didn't crash into the ditch. Looks like he just parked it on the shoulder of the road
  23. Number 6 is the one that always breaks on me of course the hardest one to get to
  24. If I remember right 8 1/2 inches from axle center to bottom of frame. I can measure mine tomorrow and know for sure if someone else doesn't have a for sure answer
  25. From what I have read about that set up is if you want power on the lower end to run a 1.15 compressor wheel and for power on the upper end use a 1.32 compressor wheel. Also I'm pretty sure you can machine the cold side of the mack turbo housing to fit the detroit so then it will bolt right on
