  1. I thought the chicken was getting ready to go after the sumbitch that stole her head.
  2. There is no cell phone, I just wanted to see if you'd do it. Well done, Grasshopper.
  3. Save the photo to the editor of your choice, zoom in to 800%, and study it closely for several minutes.
  4. That's the remaining balance after a free room credit. Hotels.com felt I was only entitled to a $108 room and I thought otherwise. Ken, we're staying at the Country Inn and Suites on Rte 30. It's only about 10 miles from Lititz IIRC and centrally located near some other activities we're considering. I won't be there Friday, driving out Saturday morning.
  5. Nope, Nothing less than a 1 star establishment for me and Mrs.Dash.
  6. Damn that's loud. There was a big time steel hauler from Somerset, PA that was running a single axle Crackerbox into the late 90's or possibly the 00's. I saw it on ebay a few times and last I saw him he was in an older, but very clean, IH 9670.
  7. Wow, thanks for the advance notice! Scheduling a Friday night off in August can be tricky for me, but knowing this soon will help the cause.
  8. That story should be framed and hanging in everyone's garage.
  9. I booked a motel a 1/2 hour ago. There's no turning back now or else I'll lose $41.29
  10. Charlotte's Girl in Car must not have a cell phone. I don't see one on her lap.
  11. I can't get over how many B models pop up on a seemingly daily basis, and in such good condition. Best of luck with it!
  12. Nice collection, thanks for sharing! I went to the BMT show and only saw Ken. We should hang out.
  13. Two innocent lives lost over a few seconds and a flashlight. There is absolutely no excuse for not checking the jaws and release handle whenever hooking a trailer, NO EXCEPTIONS! This can happen to anyone at anytime with any brand of fifth wheel as a result of design flaws, poor maintenance, and/or dirt and debris in the mechanism. Common sense and yet I've seen numerous drivers put 100% faith in a "tug test", a foolish and dangerous practice.
  14. "The fleets are finding that basically this package that we have here is something to attract and retain drivers" I doubt there are many fleets willing to not only pay the premium for such a truck, but also sacrifice the revenue that will be lost as the result of using a much longer, heavier tractor.
  15. I'm pretty sure that was the truck I saw heading west on I-70 near Zanesville, OH at about 2:30 Wednesday morning.
  16. The redhead in the black shorts looks vulnerable. That jeep is pretty sharp, as are the Macks. (Okay, the rest look good , too). Is that the on ramp to I-80 east from 18 & 760 south? The speed limit is only 45 mph leading up to the ramp. He must not have slowed down uch. That curtainside trailer went quite a distance on the other side of the guardrail.
  17. That's neat how the people that come out of Sheetz are the same ones that went in. One of the Sheetz stores near me has a similar setup.
  18. Insert whatever document you wish in place of my erroneous example of a gun permit. She was elected to to a job and failed at it. That is not acceptable in this situation. Once again this discussion has drifted away from why she was held in contempt to what everyone's opinion is of homosexuality and gay marriage. If Ms Davis wants to take this a step further she could wear one of those medical id bracelets and perhaps post a sign at her home stating that she refuses any type of assistance from Police Officers, Firefighters EMT's, Doctors, Blood Donors, Organ Donors, etc that are part of the LGBT community. This way she can express her feelings without disrupting the lives of others.
  19. i do not see anything to indicate that Ms Davis is protesting how the law came to be, only her opposition to same sex marriage. She is not being asked to live or even approve of the lifestyle or officiate at a wedding ceremony. She doesn't even have to smile or wish the couple good luck. However, she does not have the luxury to pick and choose which residents of Kentucky she wants to serve. What next, maybe a clerk who is anti-gun will stop issuing licenses because it is against their religious beliefs for YOU to have a gun? The fact that this involves homosexuals seems to be clouding the real issue.
  20. Oh man, the illegal gun owners aren't going to like this. I hope the gun salesman in that dark alley at least gives them a receipt as proof of payment and that the gun violence prevention programs fit into their schedules.
  21. The issue here is not whether gay marriage is right or wrong, it's about the state overstepping it's authority. Good for her for calling attention to the issue but until it's resolved, she is still an employee of the state and needs to do the job she was hired to do.
