  1. That's almost as good as Olivetroad's reply. I knew the answer was somewhere in those features I seldom use, but the "WAG" method wasn't getting me the results I'd hoped for. Thanks!
  2. Here ya go. http://www.commercialtrucktrader.com/find/listing/1971-Mack-F-MODEL-102970104
  3. The paint looks very boob, but those fuel tits are gonna need a double dose of elbow grease. I suddenly have the urge to go wax something.
  4. Might be stuck somewhere, waiting for a Peterbilt to pull him out.
  5. You invited the housekeeper. That was kind of you.
  6. If the model numbers are assigned to fire trucks as they are to other Macks, the 19 would suggest the factory engine was an ENDT864. That's what an F719 would have, for example.
  7. It certainly looks like it's worth the $2600, from the pictures at least. The aftermarket upholstery in the sleeper looks good, I'd like to see what they did with the rest of the interior.
  8. The southpaw likes sidewinders. I'm noticing a tendency to the left.
  9. Good to hear you had a nice trip and made it home safe. That plane is a tad small for my liking but I've never been fond of flying and have only done so when it was absolutely the best option. That housekeeper in the third shot ain't the prettiest. That's Tennesee, I reckon.
  10. You can't beat a day like that. Fun, food, productivity, some quality time with someone special to you, and some great memories. I've always liked those 4200/4300 and 9300/9900 International's. I'm pretty sure that's a 9300. I drove one for a week with those same headlights and don't remember the model year, but it was somewhere in the mid 90's. I like the view of a square hood from the driver's seat. I never knew about the rubber tire thing, I wonder if that applies to all Amish. One thing's for sure, green stuff doesn't look nearly as tasty in white.
  11. That's always a risk when you polish up a vehicle prior to selling.
  12. No sir, I run linehaul at night. You do get partial credit however, because when I did p&d I ran mostly Fairmont, WV and could be found anywhere on that corridor between Morgantown and Weston. During the week, 3:30 pm finds me in the midst of my beauty rest so if you see me at that time, I hope It's because you at least bought me dinner first.
  13. I was expecting your reply to include words such as "compound" and "buffer"!
  14. Sorry to hear of your loss. You were fortunate to have him as a role model.
  15. I wonder if Mack felt the need to replace the C model and the cramped B67 w/ concave cab was more urgent than replacing the other models in the B series that were huge sellers.
  16. It cleaned up beautifully. What did you use to bring out the paint?
  17. That was worth clicking just for the soundtrack, the video was a huge bonus.
  18. Maybe it's a typo like in the model number and it's actually only 130 feet. Then you would only need a.......mighty long garage.
  19. Beautiful truck. I've always thought the axle-forward CH's were a suitable successor to the R model, appearance wise.
  20. Any U models? That B30 has me wondering if my kids really need to go to college, and the 1980 DM800 don't look like a 1980.
  21. The KB6 looks great! The trim on the cabover suggests it's a CO-4000.
  22. That's a beautiful addition to your collection. I like the Cornbinders too.
  23. That guy saw the ghost of Elvis on Union Ave. He was probably in no condition to be driving.
  24. Would be a great feature if it were the seat belt that would buckle.
  25. Great info. I thought there must have been a practical reason. When I redecorate, I keep all the crap and just move it around a bit. Looks redecorated to me.
