  1. Mine cost a buck 2-3 years ago. Gold is up now, might be worth 50 cents. Sorry, no macro lens on my phone.
  2. 3 letters that say so much.
  3. It's been a while, but I thought the left toggle was the headlight switch, the middle knob was the dash lights and the right toggle was the marker lights. Up=on, down=off. That's neat that a rental would be fully equipped, customer specs I guess.
  4. If I saw that I'd hop back on my horse and ride away.
  5. Now the thieving meth heads can leave your place in style when going to get those puncture wounds fixed. The hubcaps look good. "Ground up" restoration perhaps?
  6. On the contrary, the little thingy in the corner says you like it. Be careful what your thinking when you post, BMT can sense strong emotions. Your all just jealous 'cause I'm hittin that every night. I only liked your posts because you included the photo.
  7. I have one on the collar of my denim shirt. It's been through the wash a few times but still looks good as if it were "Built Like A Mack Truck" (that's a pretty clever phrase I just came up with. If it catches on remember you heard it here first.)
  8. Dammit, the Missus was right. I'll have to stop accusing her of being paranoid..
  9. I got my letter from the TSA today, exactly one week after being fingerprinted. First I questioned the necessity of repeating the process every four years, now I wonder how they are able to do it so quickly. What is it about dealing with the Federal Government that makes me so suspicious?
  10. It's like I always say at work-"OSHA Smosha!" As a 21 year veteran (and survivor) of marriage, I fully understand your situation. The excitement tolerance is even lower with girls. I mean c'mon, I'm just trying to make men out of them. Sheesh,
  11. Free with a 1 year employment commitment to Swift. I thought all training compamies had that offer available to the general public, I know Schneider did.
  12. Nice shots of a couple of 70's icons.
  13. This spec sheet shows which engines had the raised cab and dual exhaust standard. I guess the aftercooler would explain why a 350 Cummins needed the clearance that other turbo 855's did not. I didn't know about the turbo'd Detroits being raised. They seemed to adress the issue with the 4070B's as they all sat high. I've seen the V-12's and I think you're right about the 5070 designation. It also had a factory nickname like "Turnpike Cruiser" or something.
  14. That must've been quite a sight (and sound.)
  15. Does the blushing bride know about the mower on forklift trick?
  16. The bulldog looks great. I wouldn't dare try to get my glasses out from under him.
  17. I used to enjoy rides like that if I were light or empty, especially with a 5 speed. I don't get to do that anymore, I'm 98% interstate. I like the subtle slope of the CH hood versus the Vision/Pinnacle. The dog's are so low now it looks like they're dragging ass across the living room carpet. Not the kinda road you wanna break traction on. I've twice seen trucks on the runaway ramp at the bottom of the truck route hill in Ridgway. Daylight and dry both times.
  18. The interior looks great too.
  19. I like any White, Autocar, Diamond Reo,etc, that used that cab. I think '77 was the first year of the RB2. Bigger cab no doubt, but something was lost in the transition.
  20. I ONCE ran 445 from Madisonburg to pick up 80 at Lamar. Not one of my better judgement calls but hey, it was flat on the map.
  21. There are certain forums where you would have received suggetions that would not have been humanly possible to accomplish (for most people). Rode a motorcycle when I was younger but no more. Never drove a Pete. Drive for a living but get motion sickness when someone else is driving. Can do a Ferris Wheel but not a Merry-Go-Round.
  22. I wish some Northeners would move down here. The more Yankees, the better.
  23. You must be very excited about making some progress. I like the idea of cutting the bend off the stack and using a flapper.
  24. Not to play Devil's Advocate, but I've seen loads like that dropped in some peculiar places while while driver's were laying over or waiting on permits. This one's a bit extreme though, probably right about the Mack thing.
  25. It does look sharp. I've only driven the cabover version and didn't much care for it, I remember something about the turn signal lever placement and the heater or radio controls were backwards or something. Minor stuff, but I was already pissed off about having to drive it instead of my R. Shuster's had the tractor version of yours that had some issues, and understandably so. It was used to pull doubles from Pittsburgh to Buffalo twice a week and then peddle stops in western NY while it was up there. The driver said he received a threat over the cb by another driver who was going to call the ASPCA and report him for abuse of a bulldog. I'm sure that when used in the way they were intended, they would be good trucks.
