I appreciate the thoughts but I agree with Superdog drop a 0. I will go get and fix her up if someone wants to buy it either for themselves or posterity!

What are you doing with the sleeper?

low air warning questions
thomastractorsvc replied to Full Floater's topic in Air Systems and Brakes
I would check the buzzer first, more than likely it is a loose or corroded connection. When I got my RW last fall similar situation with buzzer, back up alarm and some lights, I took a small wire brush and some emery cloth and cleaned the terminals and replaced a few and replaced some wires. Before you go to far, probably a good idea to check all the important connections. The headlight switch terminal only had about 4 stands of wire still connected that may have caused a fire in the right situation or left me in the dark. -
this weeks update Worked some in the evenings and pulled the wheels and cleaned up the frame than got it painted last night. Also found some time to change some wheel studs and get theses new rims mounted and add the paddle latches to the sleeper, probably over kill on the rivets but all I could find is 1/8th inch and the others were 1/4. If everything goes right might be able to drop the truck off at painters this weekend.

Thinking of buying this truck
thomastractorsvc replied to mackncheese's topic in Engine and Transmission
I would tell them if you buy it that you want air run to the back for $75 or so in parts cant see why they wouldn't do it. Already has a trailer valves on the dash -
The truck should only be a $30K truck anyway <<Kelley Blue Book’s Anand said. “If limited to higher end trims and packages, this may not have a huge effect for the moment, as a truck still makes plenty of profit.”>> I went and looked at a few Chevy Crew Cab 4x4 Silverados 1500 the best price I could find was 38K to 40K, since no trade that would be around $500 a month, I thought real hard about getting a new truck but decided I didn't need one right now so I will keep driving my 2006 3500 Silverado 4x4 as my daily driver. I was hoping to semi retire it and use as my trailer puller, but I don't want to spent that kind of money on a pickup unless I absolutely have to.

All of my tire woes came from the old tires that came on the trailer that due to budget cost I reused the best only (4) and a couple for spares. No blow outs with the 8 new ones although I did have a Chinese tube develop a leak and require a patch (thanks Superdog for the patch). I looked at changing to 17.5 but that cost was out of the question (over $100 for the rim ((could not find any used ones)) and tires were $245 each for double coins) I think I will maybe start looking on for some 17.5 but around here that size seems to be more difficult to locate than the 8.25 x 15s
